Various embodiments of the present invention arc directed to video display systems. In one embodiment, a video display system comprises a display screen; and a video capturing system. The video capturing system is configured to capture line-of-sight video images of a video display user's face and eyes while the display user looks at the display screen, enabling establishment of eye contact between the video display user and the person exhibited on the display.

Video display systems

A computer mouse notifies a mouse driver whenever a scroll event occurs as a result of rotation of a scroll wheel. In response to receiving a notification of a scroll event, the mouse driver adjusts a stored value that represents inertia calculated based on elapsed time between scroll events. The computer scrolls a number of lines on a display, the number being based on the stored value. When the stored value does not represent zero inertia and upon a predetermined amount of time elapsing without occurrence of a scroll event, the computer scrolls a second number of lines on the display. The second number is based on the stored value. The mouse driver adjusts the stored value so as to represent a decrease in inertia.

Scrolling inertia

The present invention pertains to an article of manufacture of restickable and replaceable label technology, particularly for use as replaceable and restickable labels for digital medium discs. In a preferred embodiment, a label is disclosed that comprises an adhesive that permits such label to be securely applied to a digital medium disc in a manner that such label does not disrupt the functionality of such disc. Further, the adhesive permits such label to be removed from the digital medium disc without damaging or disrupting the functionality of such disc. Further still, the adhesive permits such label to be reapplied to a digital medium disc. In a preferred embodiment, a circular label is disclosed that comprises an aperture in the center of such label for aligning the label correctly on a digital medium disc to ensure that the label does not disrupt the operation of such disc after the label has been properly applied. In alternative embodiments, the disclosed label technology may be utilized for articles of manufacture other than labels for digital medium discs.
