Systems, methods, and apparatuses for correlating intercept related information (IRI) with call content (CC) for S8HR lawful interception are provided. The method may include generating at a network entity a correlation identifier. The method may also include adding the correlation identifier to a session initiation protocol message. In addition, the method may include delivering the session initiation protocol message including the correlation identifier from the network entity to another network entity.

Methods and apparatuses for correlating intercept related information with call content

Certain embodiments of the invention generally relate to lawful interception of communications for IP Multimedia System-based (IMS-based) voice over IP (VoIP). For example, some embodiments relate to interception of communications including interception for encrypted, transcoded media. A method may include identifying a network node that provides call content interception. The method may also include determining a codec type used at a location of the call content interception at the network node. The method may further include sending a matched codec of the codec type used at the location of the call content interception at the network node to a delivery function in the communications network.

Interception for encrypted, transcoded media

A method for establishing a call in a telecommunications network that has first and second packet network sections, a wide area packet network, and a TDM transit network section. Subscribers'terminal equipment is addressable by directory numbers, and calls to subscribers are always routed through the TDM transit network. During TDM call setup at least one message or information element is conveyed to the second packet network section which is indicative of the first terminal equipment's packet capabilities and/or an address of a first controlling device controlling the call in the first packet network section. The message or information element is received at a second controlling device controlling the call in the second packet network section. Using the information extracted from the message or information element a second connection between the first and second terminal equipment through the wide area packet network is established by the controlling devices.

A telephone switching network having a plurality of nodes interconnected through the network through channels having dynamically changeable capacity. The telephone switching network includes a plurality of switching nodes and a network manager responsive to each one of the nodes for allocating traffic capacity of the network among the nodes dynamically in accordance with the traffic requested at the plurality of nodes. Each one of the nodes is coupled to the network through an ATM ADM. Each one of the ATM ADMs is coupled to a narrowband switch through an ATM switch. The nodes are interconnected through an ATM SONET.
