Light boards including one or more light emitting elements (e.g. light emitting diode (LED) devices) for use in lighting fixtures are disclosed. In one example implementation, a light board includes a first layer having a first surface and an opposing second surface. The light board includes one or more light emitting elements disposed on the first surface of the first layer. The light board includes one or more circuit elements located on the second surface of the first layer. The one or more circuit elements are associated with powering the one or more light emitting elements. The light board includes a second layer disposed on the second surface of the first layer such that the one or more circuit elements are located between the second surface of the first layer and the second layer.

Light board for lighting fixture

A light emitter includes a first portion, a light emitting element, a second portion, a pocket positioned in one of the first portion and the second portion, and an electrical connector. The first portion includes a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The light emitting element is positioned adjacent the first surface of the first portion. The second portion is coupled to the second surface of first portion. The electrical connector is disposed in the pocket, and the electrical connector is recessed relative to the first surface of the first portion.

Light emitter

A light fixture includes a housing having a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The light fixture further includes a first light board coupled to the first side. The first light board has at least one light emitting element emitting a first light output in a first direction. The light fixture further includes a second light board coupled to the second side. The second light board has at least one light emitting element emitting a second light output in a second direction. The light fixture further includes a first driver supported by the housing and in electrical communication with the first light board. The first driver is operable to control the first light output. The light fixture further includes a second driver supported by the housing and in electrical communication with the second light board. The second driver is operable to control the second light output.

Luminaire with independently controlled light output

A light board for a light fixture includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes at least one light emitting element, and the second portion includes at least one light emitting element. A first state is defined by the second portion being coupled to the first portion and a second state is defined by the second portion being detached from the first portion. In the first state, the light emitting elements of the first portion and the second portion are configured to provide an evenly distributed light output along at least the combined length of the first portion and the second portion. In the second state, the at least one light emitting element of the first portion is configured to provide an evenly distributed light output along at least the length of the first portion.

Light board

Systems and apparatus for joining structures, such as light fixture sections, are provided. In some example embodiments, a joiner assembly can include a hook element having an opening defined in at least one side portion of the hook element and a translational element passing through the opening of the hook element. The joiner assembly further includes an actuator operably connected to the translational element such that rotational movement of the actuator causes the translational element rotate the hook element from a first position to a second position.

Externally actuated joiner assembly for connecting adjacent structures

End caps for light fixtures that can be used, for instance, to reduce light leaks along lens seams and gaps are provided. In one example embodiment, a light fixture can have a fixture body. The fixture body can have an end portion. The light fixture can further include a lens and a light source positioned within the fixture body so as to provide light through the lens. The light fixture can further include an end cap having a cover plate. The cover plate can have a shape adapted to cover at least a portion of the end portion of the fixture body. The end cap can further include a magnetic coupling element configured to removably secure the end cap to the fixture body. The end cap can have a top portion configured to overlap at least a portion of the lens when the end cap is secured to the fixture body.
