A hammering game apparatus has a pair of mechanically articulated hammer devices coupled with a base mounting a motor-driven revolving platform. The platform has a plurality of pegs protruding through it. One or more players attempt to hammer down the pegs into the base with the hammer device(s). The pegs are driven from a raised position to a lower position on the platform with two longer pegs engaging a stop beneath the platform when driven sufficiently down into the platform. The platform is spring-supported and is pressed down towards the base to raise the pegs back to the raised position.

Toy vehicles having a rigid body supported by wheel assemblies for movement on a support surface. A spring element is positioned between the vehicle body and the wheel assemblies for biasing the vehicle body in a normally raised position with respect to the wheel assemblies. A movable member is mounted on the body and is in contact with the wheel assembly and/or the spring element. The movable member is activated by the wheel assembly and/or the spring element as the vehicle body is lowered by a user and raised by the spring bias.

Push-down actuated toy

A toy racing game accessory comprising a tachometer and fuel gauge. The tachometer includes a rack and pinion assembly which is driven by a linear actuator. A tachometer needle is coupled to the rack and pinion assembly. The action of the linear actuator is proportioned to the amplitude of current passing through the track rails and toy car motor as determined by a speed throttle. The fuel gauge includes a ratchet wheel. The rack and pinion assembly includes a pawl which advances the ratchet wheel if the tachometer needle is made to advance beyond a predetermined threshold speed. The ratchet pawl advances the ratchet wheel so as to cause the fuel gauge needle to advance towards 'empty'. The amount of advance of the fuel gauge needle depends on the swing of the tachometer. When the fuel gauge reads 'empty' a cammed microswitch opens to cut off all power to the track rails and bring the racing car to a halt.

A toy vehicle movable on a track operates an accessory with its wheels when it abuts a stop member. A manually operable remote control is used to then reverse the rotation of the wheels to remove the vehicle from the stop member.

Spur track accessory operation

The apparatus provides for the automatic uncoupling of a toy semitrailer from a toy tractor truck and provides also for automatic coupling of a toy semitrailer to a toy tractor truck. The uncoupling utilizes a ramp in a roadway which is inboard of the tractor truck wheels, and this ramp is engaged by the forward dolly wheels on the semitrailer, which dolly wheels are also inboard of the truck tractor wheels. The coupling of the toy semitrailer to the toy tractor is achieved by a simple beveled end on the rear of the toy tractor, which backs up to the semitrailer, and the king pin of the semitractor rides up this bevel to the pivot flat area of the tractor to drop into the pivot hole. Both operations are carried out in the same locality by a reciprocating dock which is contacted by the semitrailer during its backing up at the time its dolly wheels ride up the ramp to release the tractor. After the tractor vehicle departs, a delayed spring action moves the dock forwardly to move the semitrailer forwardly off the ramp so that the semitrailer may then be contacted by the tractor backing up to it to connect the two vehicles.

Apparatus for coupling and uncoupling toy truck tractors and semitrailers

A single conductive spring resiliently biases a pick-up shoe against a track rail while resiliently biasing a brush arm against the motor commutator segments. The spring provides an electrical current path between the pick-up shoe and brush arm.
