An object of the present invention is to provide a conveyor belt rubber composition having excellent wear resistance and gouging resistance, a method for producing the conveyor belt rubber composition, a conveyor belt formed using the conveyor belt rubber composition, and a belt conveyor equipped with the conveyor belt. The present invention relates to a conveyor belt rubber composition containing a diene rubber containing less than 50 mass % of an aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer, wherein the aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer has a content of repeating units derived from an aromatic vinyl of 20 mass % or less, and a proportion of a vinyl structure in repeating units derived from a conjugated diene of 8 mol % or less.

Conveyor belt rubber composition, method for producing conveyor belt rubber composition, conveyor belt, and belt conveyor

An object of the present invention is to provide a conveyor belt rubber composition having excellent cut resistance and wear resistance, a method for producing the conveyor belt rubber composition, a conveyor belt formed using the conveyor belt rubber composition, and a belt conveyor equipped with the conveyor belt. The present invention relates to a conveyor belt rubber composition containing a diene rubber containing 50 mass % or more of an aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer, wherein the aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer has a content of repeating units derived from an aromatic vinyl of more than 20 mass %, and a proportion of a vinyl structure in repeating units derived from a conjugated diene of 8 mol % or less.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rubber coating composition for use in a conveyor belt, the composition excelling in both peel force and rubber sticking and having excellent canvas adhesiveness, and of providing a laminate and a conveyor belt. The rubber coating composition for a conveyor belt of the present invention contains a diene-based rubber component, di-2-benzothiazolyl disulfide, silica, a cresol formaldehyde resin, and a modified etherified methylol melamine. The content amounts of each of the di-2-benzothiazolyl disulfide, silica, cresol formaldehyde resin, and modified etherified methylol melamine are all within predetermined ranges.

Rubber coating composition for conveyor belt, laminate, and conveyor belt

A method is provided for adhering prescribed adherend rubbers to one another using a rubber for adhesion obtained from a rubber composition for adhesion containing an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (X2) and an organic peroxide (Y2) at the adhesion interface between the adherend rubbers. The ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (X2) contained in the rubber composition for adhesion contains an ethylene-1-butene copolymer. The ethylene-1-butene copolymer satisfies prescribed values of the number average molecular weight and the molecular weight distribution. The content of the ethylene-1-butene copolymer is from 60 to 100 mass % of the total mass of the ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer (X2).

Bonding method and conveyor belt

A method of recognizing a conveyor belt wear condition is provided. Relationships between an apparent compressive stress in a wear resistance test and surface roughness of a sample and between the surface roughness and amount of wear per unit frictional energy of the sample are acquired. A wear condition of an upper cover rubber is recognized based on an apparent compressive stress generated on the upper cover rubber at a use site, and a database is created based on the relationships. Alternatively, relationships between an average wear pitch calculated from the surface roughness and viscoelastic properties of the sample and between the average wear pitch and an actual amount of wear of the sample are acquired. A wear condition of the upper cover rubber is recognized based on the viscoelastic properties of the upper cover rubber of the use site and a database is created based on the relationships.

Method of recognizing conveyor belt wear condition

A conveyor belt obtained by bonding together conveyor belts to be adhered using an adhesive rubber is provided. The conveyor belts to be adhered include a rubber composition containing an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer, an organic peroxide (X1), and carbon black (Y1), the organic peroxide (X1) being contained in an amount of from 0.011 to 0.020 molar equivalents relative to the ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer in the conveyor belts to be adhered. The adhesive rubber includes a rubber composition containing an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer, an organic peroxide (X2), and carbon black (Y2), the organic peroxide (X2) being contained in an amount of from 0.017 to 0.022 molar equivalents relative to the ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer in the adhesive rubber. A content ratio (X2/X1) of the organic peroxide (X2) to the organic peroxide (X1) is from 1.20 to 2.00.

Method of adhering and conveyor belt

A rubber composition for heat-resistant conveyor belts contains an ethylene-1-butene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity at 125&#xb0; C. of 20 or greater, and an ethylene-propylene copolymer having a Mooney viscosity at 125&#xb0; C. of 20 or greater and an ethylene content of 40 to 60 mass %, and the mass ratio of the ethylene-1-butene copolymer to the ethylene-propylene copolymer is 10/90 to 90/10.

Rubber composition for heat-resistant conveyor belts and heat-resistant conveyor belt

A method for adhering together rubbers to be adhered including a rubber composition containing an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer, an organic peroxide (X1), and carbon black (Y1), using a rubber for adhesion including a rubber composition containing an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer, an organic peroxide (X2), and carbon black (Y2) at an adhesive interface, wherein contents of the organic peroxide (X1) in the rubber to be adhered and the organic peroxide (X2) in the rubber for adhesion are predetermined contents, and a content ratio (X2/X1) of the organic peroxide (X2) to the organic peroxide (X1) is from 1.20 to 2.00.
