A dishwasher () comprises a washing chamber () configured for receiving crockery () to be washed, which can be accessed via a first lateral zone () and a distinct second lateral zone (). The dishwasher () includes a lid () configured for being rotated with respect to the washing chamber (), around a rotation axis () passing through the washing chamber (). In a first position, the lid () prevents accessing the washing chamber () both via the first lateral zone () and via the second lateral zone (). In a second position, the lid () allows accessing the washing chamber () only via said first lateral zone (). The present invention is related to a cooking appliance () comprising a first cooking plate () and a second cooking plate (), said second cooking plate () being positionable in an operating condition, in which it faces the first cooking plate (), so as to be able to heat a product positioned on the first cooking plate (), and in an open condition in which it is lifted with respect to the first cooking plate () in such a way to allow freely positioning a food product on the first cooking plate (), the cooking appliance () comprising a positioning device () for adjusting the position of the second cooking plate () with respect to the first cooking plate () when the second cooking plate () is in the operating condition, the positioning device allowing movements of the second cooking plate () with respect to the first cooking plate () having at least two degrees of freedom; it further comprises a control unit () operatively associated to the positioning device () and configured to control movements of the second cooking plate () with respect to the first cooking plate () individually for at least two of the at least two degrees of freedom. The invention is also related to a method for controlling a distance (d) between cooking plates () of a cooking appliance () comprising a first cooking plate () and a second cooking plate (), the second cooking plate () being positionable in an operating condition, in which it faces the first cooking plate (), so as to be able to heat a product positioned on the first cooking plate (), and in an open condition in which it is lifted with respect to the first cooking plate () in such a way to allow freely positioning a food product on the first cooking plate (), the method comprising: &#x2014;adjusting the position of the second cooking plate () relative to the first cooking plate (), when the second cooking plate () is in the operating condition, by a movement of the second cooking plate () having at least two degrees of freedom; &#x2014;calculating the distance between said first cooking plate () and the second cooking plate ().

A foodstuff sieve station includes a hopper to pour floury foodstuff and an electrically-operated sifting assembly to sift it for separating impurities from still-usable foodstuff. The sifting assembly includes a hopper-shaped with bell-shaped, rotatable sieve housed/recessed inside the casing. The sieve has-an axis tilted with respect to the vertical and an upward mouth underneath an outlet of the hopper to receive foodstuff therefrom. An electric motor assembly rotates the sieve about the axis. The sieve prevents the foodstuff having a grain size higher that a threshold value to flow through, and has an inwardly protruding assembly that projects from the inner surface and extends on a helical-shaped path from the bottom of the sieve to the mouth of the sieve.

A thawing appliance (), in particular a food thawing cabinet, includes a food compartment (), a refrigeration circuit () comprising a cooler (), a heater () switchable between at least two conditions, and an air circulating element () circulating an airflow across the food compartment (). The airflow passes through the heater () only a part of the airflow passes through the cooler ().

Food preparation apparatus including a top cooking surface, or cooktop, a front wall, a clear see-through wall located on the front side and extending above the top surface, a suction device adapted to take in fumes/odors or gases being generated at and released from the cooktop, the suction device including a forward inclined intake grille arranged between the cooktop and the vertical wall, the clear see-through wall being curved backwards, with the lower portion thereof extending almost vertically and then gradually curving backwards. A chamber collecting the gases being taken in is arranged below the grille and debouches into a vertical suction conduit, to which there is associated an appropriate suction fan, entering a prismatic filtering chamber provided with a filter in the form of a filtering partition arranged between two opposite sides of the chamber and lying orthogonally to the rear wall of the apparatus.

Refrigeration apparatus comprising a cold storage compartment, accessible from the outside, and provided internally with a sealed container adapted to accommodate a flexible and compressible receptacle holding a beverage; there are provided pneumatic or air-compression means to generate a selectively controllable pneumatic pressure inside said container, but outside said flexible receptacle, and said sealed container is capable of being opened from the outside by means of a closure applied on a face thereof, wherein said closure is provided with a through-aperture, through which there extends a drawing-off conduit. Whenever a need arises for beverage to be drawn off the receptacle, a pressure increase is triggered inside the sealed container, and said pressure increase will act upon the walls of the internal receptacle so that the latter is caused to collapse and reduce its volume, thereby causing the beverage to be ejected therefrom and, therefore, drawn off.
