A method for operating a lighting fixture. The method includes positioning a user device at a first interaction point in a venue, designating a first light attribute, the first light attribute including at least one of a first light color, a first light intensity, and a first light focus corresponding to the first interaction point, moving the user device to a second interaction point, and designating a second light attribute, the second light attribute including at least one of a second light color, a second light intensity, and a second light focus corresponding to the second interaction point, the second light attribute being different than the first light attribute. The method further includes controlling the lighting fixture to direct light having the first light attribute toward the first interaction point and controlling the lighting fixture to direct light having the second light attribute toward the second interaction point.

Method for creating XYZ focus paths with a user device

A system for determining a location of a lighting fixture in a venue includes a camera and a controller. The camera captures images of the lighting fixture. The controller is operatively coupled to the camera. The controller designates a first position of the camera, receives a first image of the lighting fixture from the camera in the first position, determines a first distance vector between the first position and the lighting fixture based on the first image, designates a second position of the camera, receives a second image of the lighting fixture from the camera in the second position, determines a second distance vector between the second position and the lighting fixture based on the second image, determines a vector relationship location to be a location nearest both the first distance vector and the second distance vector, and designates the vector relationship location as the location of the lighting fixture.

Systems and methods for light fixture location determination

A system for mapping a stage includes a lighting fixture, a scanner, and a controller. The lighting fixture includes a visible light source and an infrared light source. The lighting fixture at least partially illuminates the stage with structured infrared light. The scanner detects the structured infrared light on the stage. The controller is connected to the lighting fixture and the scanner. The controller turns on the visible light source in a visible light mode and turns on the infrared light source in an infrared light mode. The infrared light source illuminates at least a portion of the stage with the structured infrared light. The controller also directs the scanner to scan the structured infrared light on the portion of the stage, receives signals from the scanner as scan data, and translates the scan data into three-dimensional location data.

Methods and systems for generating a lighting design for a venue. A lighting visual is selected. The lighting visual may be based on a different venue or a generated image. An electronic processor converts the lighting visual into lighting visual parameters. The processor receives mounting locations for lighting fixtures at the venue. A database of candidate lighting fixtures is accessed and a lighting design is generated that includes an arrangement of lighting fixtures and indicates which of the lighting fixtures is to be mounted in which location to produce a lighting effect at the venue that approximates the lighting visual. The lighting design may be based on multiple lighting visuals and corresponding visual parameters to produce multiple lighting effects at the venue that approximate the multiple visuals.

Systems and methods for generating a three-dimensional model of a lighting fixture. The systems include a controller that includes an electronic processor coupled to a memory. The memory is configured to store instructions that when executed by the electronic processor configure the controller to receive first scanning data related to a lighting fixture while the lighting fixture is in a first configuration, receive second scanning data related to the lighting fixture after an adjustment to the lighting fixture to a second configuration, compare the first scanning data and the second scanning data, perform three-dimensional mesh reconstruction based on the first scanning data and the second scanning data, and generate the three-dimensional model based on the first configuration of the lighting fixture and the second configuration of the lighting fixture representing an operational capability of the lighting fixture.

Systems and methods for controlling the spectral content of the output of a light fixture. The method of one embodiment includes driving the output of a light fixture to a target color and controlling the spectral content of the output of the light fixture. For example, a desired color is inputted using a color control methodology. A set of light source output intensity values that produce the desired color are identified, and then the light sources are driven to the identified output intensity values. A user is able to control the spectral content of the output of the light fixture by modifying the output intensity value of one or more of the light sources. After modifying the output intensity values, the color control and matching technique is used to identify a new set of output intensity values that maintain the previous target color but incorporate the changes in spectral content.

System and method for controlling the spectral content of an output of a light fixture

A segmented touch screen overlies the display or displays of a console having an operating system and display controller for the display. A touch screen controller is continuously connected to each of the touch screen segments and separate touch position information is obtained for each touch screen segment. The console operating system can be supplied with separate position information for each segment or with a single touch position for combined segments. A number of docking module ports near the display optionally receive docking modules that cover segments of the touch screen and display. A module, including tactile elements such as push button switches, can be docked at any port. When a module is detected, the touch screen segment under the module is disabled and the display under the module is switched to display module specific information.
