The present invention relates to an illumination device comprising a number of light sources generating light and a number of light collecting means adapted to collect the generated light and to convert the collected light into a number of light beams that propagate along an optical axis. The light sources are arranged in a first group and second group of light sources which are individually controllable. The light collecting means and light sources are displaceable in relation to each other between a first position where the light collecting means collect light from the first group of light sources and convert the collected light into a number of first light beams, and a second position where the light collecting means collect light from the second group of light sources and convert the collected light from the second group of light sources into number of second light beams.

Color mixing illumination device

An illumination device or method of generating illumination using an illumination device is described with two light sources with different spectral distribution a number of displaceable light collectors collecting light from the light sources where in one mixing position receiving light from both light sources where at least one of the light sources has two independently controllable light emitting areas and in one mixing position the collecting area collects light form the first light emitting area and substantially not from the second light emitting area. Further an unrelated illumination device with at least one Light Emitting Diode, LED and a current spreader connected to and covering a first area of a first side of the lead, spreading current in an irregular pattern and a current controller controlling current flowing through the first current spreader. The current spreader can be patterned to produce a round beam illumination or illumination in a form of a static picture or logo. A round beam illumination can better cooperate with an optical system of lenses in an illumination device. Further the current spreader can be patterned to have lower current density in the center to reduce/avoid temperature hotspot in the center and obtain a more even die temperature.

The present invention relates to an illumination device comprising a number of light sources generating light and a number of light collecting means adapted to collect the generated light and to convert the collected light into a number of light beams that propagate along an optical axis. The light sources are arranged in a first group and a second group of light sources and the first and second group of light sources emits light having different spectral distribution. The light sources and the light collecting means are movable in relation to each other and can be positioned in a number of mixing positions, where in the number of mixing positions the light collecting means are adapted to collect at least a part of the light emitted by the first group of light sources and at least a part of the light emitted by said second group of light sources and to convert the collected light into number of mixed light beams.

Mechanical color mixing device

An illumination device including a plurality of LEDs emitting light in different source colors is disclosed. The device receives an input signal indicative of at least a color and/or brightness to be emitted by the illumination device. The device also stores colorimetric data. The colorimetric data is indicative of colorimetric properties of the light emitted by the plurality of LEDs, where the colorimetric properties of the LEDs define the actual color gamut of the illumination device. The device also stores a predefined color gamut data. A processing unit generates an adjusted color gamut based on the actual color gamut and the predefined color gamut and activates the plurality of LEDs based on the input signal and the adjusted color gamut.

The present invention relates to an illumination device comprising a number of light sources arranged in at least a first group of light sources and in a second group of light sources, where said first group of light sources and said second group of light sources are individually controllable. First and second optical means collect light from the first and second group of light sources and convert the collected light into a number of first and second light beams. The illumination device comprises further first and second zoom optics adapted to change the beam diverges and/or width of respectively the first and second light beams and the illumination device is capable of controlling the first and second zoom optics individually. The present invention relates further to a method of controlling such illumination device.

The present invention relates to an illumination device where a number of light sources are arranged on a heat sink and adapted to emit light in substantially the same direction. The heat sink comprises a first cooling plate and a second cooling plate. A first part of the light sources are arranged on the first cooling plate and a second part of the light sources are arranged on the second cooling plate. The first and second cooling plates are separated by a distance and a flow channel is defined there between. The flow channel allows cooling fluid to flow between the first cooling plate and the second cooling plate whereby the light sources can be cooled by the cooling fluid. The heat sink comprises further a number of light passages allowing light to propagate from the second cooling plate, towards the first cooling plate and through the first cooling plate.

The present invention relates to an illumination device illuminating an optical gate and projecting an image of the optical gate towards a target surface. The illumination device comprises a light source module generation light, an aperture delimiting the optical gate and a projecting system adapted to image the optical gate at a target surface. The light source module comprises a number of light sources and a number of light collecting means. The light collecting means comprise a central lens aligned along and a peripheral lens at least partially surrounding the central lens. The central lens collects and converts a first part of the light from the light source images the light source between the aperture the projecting system. The peripheral lens part collects and converts a second part of said light from said light source and is adapted to concentrate said second part of said light at said aperture.

The present invention relates to an optical light mixer providing a homogenized and uniform light beam where the optical light mixer is formed of a solid transparent material and light enters the optical light mixer through an entrance surface and is reflected through said body to an exit surface where said light exits said optical light mixer. The optical light mixer comprises a first part formed as a pyramid frustum where the top surface of the pyramid frustum forms the entrance surface and a second part formed as a cone frustum and where the bottom surface the cone frustum forms the exit surface. An illumination device includes a light source, and a light collector having a central lens part and a peripheral lens part surrounding at least a part of the central lens part. The central lens part is aligned along an optical axis of the light source and includes a central entrance surface, a central exit surface, and an extension part positioned between the central entry surface and the central exit surface. The light collector also has a peripheral lens part surrounding at least a part of the central lens part, the peripheral lens including a peripheral entrance surface, a peripheral reflection surface and a peripheral exit surface. The extension part protrudes from the peripheral exit surface and elevates the central exit surface a distance above the peripheral exit surface.

The present invention relates to a light collector for collecting light emitted by a light source and converting the collected light into a light beam. The light collector comprises a central lens part aligned along an optical axis of the light source where the central lens comprises a central entrance surface and a central exit surface. The peripheral lens comprises a that said central lens and said peripheral lens is mutual adapted to convert said light emitted by said light source into a common light beam having a substantial circular and rotationally symmetric cross sectional light distribution, where said common light beam comprises said first light beam part and said second light beam part.

An illumination device having a number of light sources and a number of light collectors. The light collectors collect light generated by the light sources and convert the light into a source light beam propagating primarily along a primary optical axis. The light sources and the light collectors can be part of a light source module. The light source module can include a cooling module comprising a number of interconnected plane mounting surfaces angled in relation to each other, with the light sources arranged on said plane mounting surfaces. The cooling module can include a first side comprising the mounting surfaces and a second side comprising a number of cooling fins defining a number of radial air channels.

The present invention relates to an illumination device comprising a number of light sources and a number light collecting means, where the light collecting means collect light generated by the first light sources and convert the light into a source light beam propagating primarily along a primary optical axis. The present invention relates to a light fixture comprising an electrodeless plasma source, said electrodeless plasma source comprises a resonator and a light bulb, said light bulb is operating inside a cavity of a TIR where the TIR lens comprises a metal grid covering at least a part of said TIR lens, the metal grid grounding electromagnetic radiation generated by said electrodeless plasma source. In another embodiment, the light fixture comprises blowing means sending an air stream into the cavity.
