A durable hydrophilic coating composition is provided comprising a film forming polymer, a wetting agent and from about 0.001% to about 40%, by weight of the composition, of nanoparticles. The nanoparticles are selected from the group consisting of alumina, silica and combinations thereof and have a particle size of from about 1 to about 750 nanometers. The weight ratio of the film forming polymer to the nanoparticles is from about 1:1 to about 1:30. A disposable absorbent article is also disclosed.

Durable hydrophilic coating compositions

Stable odor controlling compositions, methods for incorporating the compositions, and disposable absorbent articles, which release perfume and subsequently are able to minimize odor caused from bodily fluids via the presence of an oil-in-water emulsion that serves as a carrier and preservation system for the perfume. The stable odor controlling emulsion compositions include an oil-in-water emulsion comprising: a) an aqueous phase comprising a modified starch and water; b) an oil phase comprising a perfume; c) an effective amount of a rheology modifier; d) an effective amount of a co-surfactant; and e) an effective amount of an antimicrobial agent; wherein said emulsion composition is applied to said article in the form of stable emulsion droplets having an median size of less than about 1 &#x3bc;m and dries to form a discontinuous film.

Amine fabric softener actives are prepared in dispersion and/or clear form with materials to improve performance by increasing the cationic charge density. These materials include polycationic compounds, especially cationic polymers; single long-chain cationic compounds; and carboxylic acids that increase the acidity in the rinse, thus lowering pH and increasing the percentage of amine fabric softener active that is protonated. Antistatic properties are also improved.

A detergent composition containing efficient enduring perfume composition is provided. Specifically, the detergent composition comprises: a perfume composition comprising at least about 70% of enduring perfume ingredients characterized by having boiling points, measured at the normal, standard pressure, of about 250&deg; C. or higher, and an octanol/water partitioning coefficent P of about 1,000 or higher, i.e., having a logP, or calculated logP, of about 3 or higher. The perfume is substantially free of halogenated fragrance materials and nitromusks. The composition also contains from about 0.01% to about 95% of a detergent surfactant system, preferably containing anionic and/or nonionic detergent surfactants. The compositions can be in the form of granules, liquids, pastes, bars, etc.

The present invention relates to a glass cleaning composition comprising: from about 0.001% to about 3% of a blooming perfume composition comprising at least about 50% of blooming perfume ingredients selected from the group consisting of: ingredients having a boiling point of less than about 260&deg; C. and a ClogP of at least about 3, and wherein said perfume composition comprises at least 5 different blooming perfume ingredients; from about 0.001% to about 2% of detergent surfactant system selected from the group consisting of anionic surfactants, amphoteric detergent surfactants including zwitterionic surfactants; and mixtures thereof; from about 0.5% to about 30% of hydrophobic solvent; and the balance being an aqueous solvent system comprising water and, optionally, non-aqueous polar solvent with only minimal cleaning action selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, ethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, glycol ethers having a hydrogen bonding parameter of greater than 7.7, and mixtures thereof and any minor ingredients. These compositions have good filming/streaking characteristics and provide a blooming perfume effect.

The compositions have a pH, in use, of from about 2 to about 11 and the blocks are preferably extremely homogeneous.
