A system and method are provided for hybrid electric internal combustion engine applications in which a motor-generator, a narrow switchable coupling and a torque transfer unit therebetween are arranged and positioned in the constrained environment at the front of an engine in applications such as commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles and stationary engine installations. The motor-generator is preferably positioned laterally offset from the switchable coupling, which is co-axially-arranged with the front end of the engine crankshaft. The switchable coupling is an integrated unit in which a crankshaft vibration damper, an engine accessory drive pulley and a disengageable clutch overlap such that the axial depth of the clutch-pulley-damper unit is nearly the same as a conventional belt drive pulley and engine damper. The front end motor-generator system includes an electrical energy store that receives electrical energy generated by the motor-generator when the coupling is engaged. When the coupling is disengaged, the motor-generator may drive the pulley portion of the clutch-pulley-damper to drive the engine accessories using energy returned from the energy store, independent of the engine crankshaft.

A pneumatic test plug for clean-out tees and a method of testing a pipeline are disclosed. The pneumatic test plug includes a cap and a bladder. The cap has an inflation inlet and a testing fluid inlet. The testing fluid inlet provides a conduit for a testing fluid. The testing fluid may be a liquid or a gas. The bladder is in fluid connection with the inflation inlet. The bladder has an open end and a closed end. The open end receives air from the inflation inlet. The closed end is opposite the open end. The testing fluid inlet provides testing fluid through the cap and outside of the bladder. The inflation inlet provides a passageway to the bladder.

Pneumatic plug clean-out tees

The present disclosure is directed to a backwater valve assembly comprising a main valve body, a flapper sub-assembly, and a cap. The main valve body has an inner wall that can define a recess into which the flapper sub-assembly can be removably secured. The flapper sub-assembly includes at least one flapper element that can pivot between an open position, in which the flapper element allows fluid to flow through the backwater valve assembly, and a closed position, in which the flapper element prevents fluid from flowing in the opposite direction. The flapper sub-assembly can be removably coupled to the cap to allow the flapper sub-assembly and cap to be installed in or removed from the main valve body together as a unitary assembly.

A dash cluster system and a method for securing and/or interconnecting a dash cluster to power equipment. The dash cluster system includes a housing having a connecting assembly including at least one peripheral connector positioned along a peripheral surface of the housing. The dash cluster system further comprises a bezel having a front side and a rear side. The bezel also comprises a connecting arrangement formed from at least one extending connector, extending from the rear side. The dash cluster system also comprises a securing connection formed between the housing and the bezel by the interlocking of the peripheral connector of the connecting assembly with the extending connector of the connecting arrangement.

A plunger switch and method comprises a multi-action plunger arrangement having first and second plungers in axial alignment such that the first plunger is centrally located about the second plunger. The second plunger has an annular wall for supporting at least one conductive wiper contact. The plunger switch further comprises first and second biasing members having differing load constants, such that the first and second plungers are actuated at different loads during use and a plurality of terminals for communicating an electrical path. The switch also comprises a housing having a central opening for supporting the plunger arrangement. The second plunger and second second biasing member cooperate with the conductive wiper contact such that compressing of the second biasing member from a normal position to a first actuated position results in a change of state of the switch assembly.

Plunger switch and method of using same

A switch apparatus includes a housing having an interior chamber for supporting a portion of a shaft body. The shaft body has a portion extending from the housing coupled to a pull knob such that the shaft body and pull knob are selectively located from a first position to a second position. The shaft body further comprises spaced first and second legs having a securing arrangement disposed within a channel formed by the legs, the securing arrangement comprises a restricted region formed about a portion of the legs in the channel and a securing pin fixedly attached to the housing, such that the securing pin engages the restricted region when the shaft body and pull knob transition from the first position to the second position.

Switch assembly

A constricting clutch brake element () is operative to selectively transmit mechanical power between relatively movable rotating members. A plurality of backing plates () releasibly engage a plurality of friction linings (). The friction linings are selectively moved radially to operatively engage annular body () and a central rotating member (). The friction linings are releasibly engaged with corresponding backing plates () through interengaging ear portions () of the lining and slots () of the backing plates.

A connection system for securing electrical components to a wiring harness includes a body connector having a first opening interconnected to a second opening by a transverse channel, the transverse channel supports a contact assembly along a first plane parallel with said first opening and is transverse to the second opening. The connection system also includes an annular seal surrounding a circular perimeter of a head formed on said body connector.

Connection system and method

A connection assembly for securing electrical components used with power equipment comprises a housing and connector cover forming an upper arrangement of the connection assembly. The housing and connector cover form a cavity therebetween for supporting electronics disposed within the cavity. The connection assembly also comprises a lower arrangement used to secure the connection assembly to a surface of a power equipment device and a hinge assembly that forms a rotational connection between the upper arrangement and the lower arrangement.

Connection assembly

A tilt sensor arrangement and method that allows a tilt angle sensor of a vehicle to be tested without tilting the vehicle. In one embodiment, a tilt angle sensor of a vehicle is tested when the vehicle is positioned in a generally horizontal position. The tilt angle sensor is rotated from an operating position to a test position while the vehicle remains in the generally horizontal position and the tilt angle sensor is tested.

An indicator display module includes a display face for informing an operator of a monitored condition and a housing having first and second ends. The display face is attached to the first end. The housing provides support to electrical components located within the housing. A cover is fixedly attached to the housing and engages the second end of the housing. A seal is positioned within the housing, forming a sealed cavity around the electrical components stored within the housing.
