The present invention is directed to a power line system having a number of controlled release mechanisms. A number of utility poles with cross bars each have a controlled release mechanism attached. A number of sensors are attached to the cross bars. A communication system is electrically connected to the sensors. A sector switch is electrically connected to the communication system. When the controlled release mechanism senses too much force on one of the utility poles it lowers the cross bar in a controlled manner to the ground. A sensor detects this and the communication system sends a message to the sector switch to open. When the storm or other threat is over, the cross bars can be raised by turning the winch in the controlled release mechanism.

A Utility Pole and Tower Safety and Protection Device includes a utility pole with a crossbar to support utility conductors. The crossbar is attached to the pole with a release mechanism. A pressure transducer is attached to the release mechanism and automatically controls the release and descent of the crossbar at a predetermined load limit. A shear pin may also be used if a mechanical system is desired. An alarm system is attached to the pole and linked to a relay station announces when the system is activated. Power and continuity to the utility conductors is terminated when the system is activated, virtually eliminating the risks of a downed utility conductor. The device protects power and utility lines from breakage due to external forces, such as weather or trees. When the external force is removed, the device is reset by winching the crossbar into position and resetting the release mechanism.

Utility pole and tower safety and protection device

A synthetic erector lens mount for use in a rifle scope or similar optical instrument incorporating glides, or rails, which ride on the inner surface of the guide tube. Biasing fingers, or tabs, incorporate raised bulges, or angle radially outward from the body of the mount, or both, so that they push outward on the walls of the guide tube, pushing the mount against the glides. Preferably the mount incorporates a recess on the inner wall of the mount for capturing a nut or other fastener, a hole through the wall of the mount, and a flattened area of the outer surface of the mount, parallel to the recess and aligned with the hole, for removably attaching a guide sleeve which engages the slots in the guide tube and cam tube for adjustment of the erector lens.

Telescopic sight mounting ring with a single root

A crescent shaped seating device having a posterior outer curvature and an anterior inner curvature conforming to the natural curvature of the body when in a seated position. The seating device is continuously formed from a multi-element alloy balanced polyurethane semi-rigid material which produces a microcellular core with a tough textured exterior skin integrally formed with the core. Symmetrically arranged, mirror image at least two lateral support means provide additional padding, keep a user centered on the seating device and provide lateral support to the user. An internal frame is encased by and reinforces the seating device. Receiving means are fixedly attached to the internal frame, extend to the lower surface of the seating device and are removably attached to attaching rails. A light system renders the seating device highly visible.

Seating device

A scope tube adjusting and locking device for adjusting the elevation and windage of sighting scope is comprised of a first adjusting means, a second adjusting means, a plurality of bias means, and a plurality of inner tube adjusting means. The adjusting means rotatably encompass the scope outer tube and have a bias means channel eccentrically formed therein. The plurality of bias means contact and track the base of the bias means channels and are rotatably cradled by the plurality of inner tube adjusting means which are laterally and movably disposed through the scope outer tube and which contact the inner guide tube. As the adjusting means are rotated around the scope outer tube, the plurality of inner tube adjusting means adjusts the elevation and windage of the inner guide tube. A locking means threadedly encompasses the scope outer tube and can be rotated to lock or unlock the adjusting means.

An improved sling and accessory attachment system for use on a firearm, camera and similar objects. The sling and accessory attachment system is comprised of a fitted, flush mounted anchor and removable external attaching members, one removable external attaching member fitted with a pivotal loop for attaching a sling or strap and another removable external attaching member capable of receiving a bipod or other accessory. The anchor receives and holds the removable external attaching member which is then rotated to a fixed stop and positively locked in place by a slideable pin. The removable external attaching member is quickly connected and quickly disconnected from the anchor.

Sling and accessory attachment system

A positive-aligning quick mount for mounting a sighting scope on a firearm is comprised of a base removably attached to the receiver of a firearm, lower securing means removably attached to the base and upper securing means removably attached to the lower securing means. The upper securing means and the lower securing means encompass and secure a prior art sighting scope in the positive-aligning quick mount. An engaging means is pivotally attached to a side of the lower securing means in an engaging means receptacle, the engaging means and the lower securing means removably engaging the base. The lower securing means is quickly and securely locked on the base and quickly unlocked from the base by rotatable locking means.

Positive-aligning quick mount

A retractable carrying device that effectively positions an object snugly against a user's body allowing the user to carry the object from their shoulder for long periods of time without stress and irritation. The retractable carrying device maintains tension on receiving means thereby preventing undesirable noise, and also automatically and tensionally adjusts when the retractable carrying device is utilized as a stabilizing aid. The retractable carrying device is constructed with a first elongated flexible securing means, a second elongated flexible securing means, and a retractable mechanism, the retractable mechanism being enveloped by shielding means. The retractable mechanism has elastic properties and is of the type that can be stretched or extended when an opposing directional force is applied to the retractable mechanism, thereby increasing the effective length of the retractable mechanism, and which will then return or retract to its original length when the opposing directional force is released. Flexible elongated friction reducing means provide a smooth, low friction surface against which the retractable mechanism can easily slide when the retracting mechanism operates, ensuring free movement of the retracting mechanism within the shielding means. A constant re-adjusting effect is created when the retractable carrying device is in use. The constant re-adjusting effect allows the retractable carrying device to have a shock absorbing effect allowing a user to comfortably carry an object for long periods of time and to automatically and tensionally adjust when the retractable carrying device is utilized as a stabilizing aid.

Retractable carrying device

A mounting system for optical gun sights comprised of two or more mounting rings each housing eccentric or straight collars supporting the optical sight allowing the optical sight to self center on it axis without binding or deforming the optical sight. The collars, being adjustably eccentric within the ring housing, optionally provide optimal optical alignment of the inner components of the optical sight.

A new and novel holder or support device unit for use in shops, stores and in the field, the holder being the type that may be used to display and/or rest various items such as rifles, pistols, still cameras, video cameras and the like. The new and novel holder is semi-rigidly formed in a single component from a foam which provides a microcellular inner core and a tough integral leather-like exterior surface providing enough inertia absorption, impact resistance and resiliency that the device can be easily and safely used to support a firearm, while discharging the firearm, as well as effectively and safely supporting other items. Items may be placed and held on the holder in a desired position and for a specific purpose such as customer display, cleaning, maintenance, disassembly, and/or field steadying of the item. Also disclosed is a novel method of producing the unique holders described herein.

Holder for pistols, rifles, cameras and the like

An improved gun trigger unit for a rifle or the like. The unit uses at least two spring biased moving members positioned one above the other. The members are pivotably mounted in relation to each other and pivot from a first engaged position to a second disengaged position. At least one of the members has rotatably mounted thereon a bearing in engagement with the other of the moving members. A movement of the trigger lever will pivot one of the members to activate the other of the members by the bearing rolling from a first engaged position to a second disengaged position thereby releasing the rifle bolt to fire the rifle.
