A microprocessor assembly is located on a daughterboard, which is configured to be physically and electrically coupled to a motherboard. One of the electrical terminals in an electrical connector between the daughterboard/motherboard is coupled to either a ground or a voltage supply V on the daughterboard, depending on the type of microprocessor used. The electrical connector passes either the ground or V signal to a semiconductor device on the motherboard to automatically identify the type of microprocessor on the daughterboard.

Method and apparatus for automatically identifying a central processing unit

A motherboard/daughterboard assembly is configured to permit upgrading of a system to a microprocessor requiring different clock signals. The motherboard includes a clock generator mounted on the motherboard with a control input terminal and an output terminal. The clock generator delivers a first and second clock signal on the output terminal in response to receiving a first and second signal on the control input terminal, respectively. A first electrical connector is mounted on the motherboard and has a first terminal. The first terminal is coupled to the control input terminal of the clock generator. The daughterboard has a second electrical connector mounted thereon, and a first terminal. The second electrical connector is mateable with the first electrical connector to electrically engage the first terminals of the first and second electrical connectors. The first terminal of the second electrical connector is adapted to be connected to one of a first and second voltage supply to generate one of the first and second signals on the control input terminal of the clock generator in response to the first and second electrical connectors being mated together.

Method and apparatus for automatically selecting clock voltage levels

An improved bicycle wheel reflector having two equal sized wings, of rigid plane construction coated with reflective material of different colors, so that the color of the surface of one wing is the same as the opposite surface of the other wing, the wings extending from their apex at a fixed 10 to 20 degree angle from horizontal, and being of rectangular shape, and being of sufficient length to extend beyond the radius of the bicycle tire, yet short enough so as to not interfere with the free travel of the wheel, and being provided an alternating pair of slots at the apex of the wings so as to engage the spokes of any bicycle wheel, so that the lights of on-coming traffic are reflected in a flashing pattern for better visibility of the bicycle in darkness.
