A voltage supply circuitry is capable of coupling to wired audio headset circuitry and configurable to operate in a first mode, wherein the voltage supply circuitry provides a voltage supply to the wired audio headset functionality circuitry. The voltage supply circuitry is further capable of coupling to visual indication circuitry and further configurable to operate in a second mode, wherein the voltage supply circuitry provides a voltage supply to the visual indication circuitry.

Voltage supply circuitry and integrated circuit therefor

A dual access peripheral interface uses a shared data bus () for communication with dual master units () coupled to a common peripheral device (). Each master control unit provides a shared subset of control bits to a logic configuration block (), which combines the control bits in a logic operation to present to the slave peripheral unit (). The logic configuration block () is configured by configuration bits accessible by only one of the master units (). In this way, both of the master units can access the peripheral at the same time with the logic of the logic configuration block determining the ultimate control of the peripheral.

Dual access serial peripheral interface

A dual output voltage regulator circuit includes a first voltage regulator section, the first voltage regulator section having a first regulated voltage output, a second voltage regulator section coupled to the first voltage regulator section, the second voltage regulator having a second regulated voltage output, and a switching circuit coupled to the first voltage regulator section and to the second voltage regulator section, the switching circuit operating the first voltage regulator section and the second voltage regulator section in a normal mode, and operating only the second voltage regulator section in a power gating mode.

Method and apparatus for dual output voltage regulation

An apparatus for discontinuously operating a receiver (302) includes a receive data circuitry (304) and processor circuitry (306). The apparatus and receiver (302) are incorporated in a communication device (104). The receiver (302) receives a communication signal (106) having a plurality of frames (200, 214, 224). Each of the frames has a synchronization field (202, 217, 222) followed by a data field (204, 218, 228). The receive data circuitry (304) synchronizes the communication device (104) with the communication signal (106) received by the receiver (302) according to an initial synchronization field (202). The receive data circuitry (304) decodes the following data field (204). The processor (306) evaluates the decoded data field. If the decoded data field indicates that the receiver (302) is locked, the processor (306) powers off the receiver (302) for the following synchronization fields (222).

Apparatus and method for discontinuously operating a receiver

A controller for a radiotelephone having the capability of operation in both a secure mode for call authorization and a nonsecure mode for user interface is disclosed. The nonsecure mode and secure mode of operation are both resident in a single microcontroller which runs the nonsecure operations until a requirement for the secure operation is requested during call placement. The nonsecure mode is disabled during the period of time the secure mode is operational and is reenabled upon completion of the secure mode operation. The secure mode cannot be accessed externally to the microcontroller.
