An adaptive network operation (ANO) server configured to reduce unnecessary radio operation during lower and/or non-traffic times is described herein. The ANO server may receive raw data associated with one or more nodes within a telecommunications network. Responsive to receiving the raw data, the ANO server may determine, based at least in part on the raw data, a traffic level associated with the one or more nodes and/or a traffic capacity associated with the one or more nodes. The ANO server may determine one or more frequency bands and/or channels to activate and/or deactivate and may generate configuration settings to send to the one or more nodes.

Adaptive mobile network operation

The disclosed embodiments include a method for forecasting a coverage area of a candidate site in an anchor network. The method can include obtaining cell site information of anchor networks and of the candidate site (e.g., a donor site of a donor network), simulating a spatial layout of the anchor sites in a virtual network, and estimating a coverage area of the candidate site in the virtual network. The estimated coverage area of the candidate site forms a polygon-shaped coverage area in the spatial layout of the virtual network. The method can further include modifying the polygon-shaped coverage area of the candidate site relative to an intersection with a coverage area of a neighboring site, pruning the modified coverage area of any portion that exceeds a predefined coverage radius, and causing an output including the pruned coverage area of the candidate site as an indication of the forecast coverage area.

Network planning tool for forecasting in telecommunications networks

A method for determining a reliability of a wireless device to estimate its location under a simulated environmental condition includes simulating an environmental condition inside a test chamber by controlling a physical parameter. The test chamber contains the wireless user device configured to estimate a location of the wireless user device based on reference signals received from a signal source. The method includes communicating a pattern of reference signals having varying signal propagation characteristics in the test chamber. The method includes receiving an indication of an estimated location calculated by the wireless user device based on the pattern of reference signals. The reliability of the wireless device to estimate its location under the simulated environmental condition is determined based on a comparison of the estimated location with the simulated location.

Systems and methods are provided herein to dynamically and efficiently optimize network expansion of a network carrier based on UE data collected from a plurality of user equipment (UEs). The UE data is processed based on different computerized algorithms to locate optimal locations for adding a new access point to expand the network. Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for a geographic boundary determination service. A geographic boundary may be associated with one of a plurality of geographic locations, and the area within the geographic boundary may be within a specified distance of the geographic location and closer to the geographic location than to any other geographic location in the plurality of geographic locations. The geographic boundary determination service may determine geographic boundaries for existing locations or may determine a set of locations whose geographic boundaries satisfy various criteria. The geographic boundary determination service may further display geographic maps that include the geographic boundaries, demographic indices and other demographic information relating to the geographic boundaries, network coverage information relating to the geographic boundaries, and a targeted geographic region or regions that the boundaries overlap.

The disclosed embodiments include a method for classifying cell sites of a virtual network that simulates merging a donor network with an anchor network. The method can include obtaining cell site information of the anchor network and the donor network, simulating the virtual network that merges the donor network with the anchor network, and classifying each donor site based on a measure of the donor site relative to nearest anchor sites. Any anchor site that is located a threshold distance from the donor site is a nearest anchor site. A donor site is classified for decommissioning when the measure is less than or equal to a measure threshold or the donor site is classified for retaining when the measure is greater than the measure threshold. The method can further include causing an output of an indication of any donor site that is classified for decommissioning or retaining.
