A multi-directional single pass printing apparatus may include a print head comprising a collection of slots. The collection of slots may include a central slot for delivering a central slot fluid type, a first serial arrangement of first slots on a first side of the central slot to deliver a first series of respective fluid types and a second serial arrangement of second slots on a second side of the central slot opposite the first side. The second series of slots are to deliver a second series of respective fluid types, wherein the second series of respective fluid types mirror the first series of respective fluid types with respect to the central slot fluid type.

Multi-directional single pass printing

According to an example, multi-directional single pass printing may include utilizing a print head that includes slots that include a first slot for a first ink color, and two or more additional slots. A slot of the additional slots may be disposed on a first side of the first slot, and another slot of the additional slots may be disposed on a second side of the first slot. The additional slots may include a further ink color. Data may be forwarded to a set of slots when a direction bit related to the print head is set to a first value, and to another set of slots when the direction bit is set to a second value. A number of channels for forwarding the data to the slots may be less than the number of slots.

A firing circuit for a thermal inkjet-printing nozzle includes a heater resistor and a switch. The heater resistor heats ink to cause the ink to be ejected from the nozzle. The heater resistor has a first end and a second end, the second end connected to a ground. The switch controls activation of the heater resistor. The switch has a first end connected to a voltage source and a second end connected to the first end of the heater resistor. The switch operates in a constant current mode, such that an at least substantially constant current flows through the heater resistor upon activation.

A transistor device includes a lightly doped layer of semiconductor material of a first type and a body region of semiconductor material of a second type. A source region of the first type is formed in the body region, the source region being more doped than the lightly doped layer. A drain region of the first type is formed in the lightly doped layer, the drain region being more doped than the lightly doped layer. A drift region of the lightly doped layer is further provided disposed between the body region and the drain region. Additionally, a gate electrode is provided surrounding the drain region. The gate electrode is partially disposed over a thin oxide and partially over a thick oxide, wherein the gate electrode extended over the thick oxide from the thin oxide controls the electric field in the drift region to increase the avalanche breakdown of the drain region.

A dynamic memory cell for storing data in a display having at least one MEMS device for each pixel has at least two dynamic memory elements per pixel, including first and second dynamic memory elements, each including at least one capacitor, both of the first and second memory elements being electrically coupled to the MEMS device of a single pixel. A sense amplifier is configured to amplify the data signal and to latch data in response to a differential data signal and a clock signal, self-refreshing the data and loading data to the MEMS device as required.

An fluid ejection device includes nozzles and includes firing resistors which correspond to the nozzles. Each firing resistor and corresponding nozzle are located in zones on the fluid ejection device where each zone has at least one firing resistor and corresponding nozzle. Addressable select logic responsive to a select address couples fire pulses to the firing resistors in the zones so that each firing resistor in each zone is coupled to the same fire pulse.

An inkjet printhead assembly includes at least one inkjet printhead having nozzles and firing resisters. The inkjet printhead assembly includes fire pulse generator circuitry responsive to a start fire signal to generate fire signals, each having a series of fire pulses. The fire pulse generator circuitry generates the fire signals by controlling the initiation and duration of the fire pulses. The fire pulses control timing and activation of electrical current through the firing resisters to thereby control ejection of ink drops from the nozzles. One embodiment of the inkjet printhead assembly includes multiple printheads disposed on a carrier to form a wide-array inkjet printhead assembly.

A micro-mirror system has a closely spaced array of micro-mirror cells, a calibration timing circuit, and test circuitry. Each micro-mirror cell has a micro-mirror and a timing circuit. The timing circuit controls deflection of the micro-mirror. The micro-mirror is in close proximity with the timing circuit. The calibration timing circuit is like the timing circuits of the micro-mirror cells. The test circuitry tests a time constant of the calibration timing circuit.

A printhead assembly includes at least one printhead having an internal power supply path, a power regulator providing an offset voltage from the internal power supply path voltage, and multiple primitives. Each primitive includes a group of nozzles, a corresponding group of firing resisters, and a corresponding group of switches. The switches are controllable to couple a selected firing resister between the internal power supply path and the offset voltage to thereby permit electrical current to pass through the selected firing resister to cause a corresponding selected nozzle to fire.

Integrated control of power delivery to firing resistors for printhead assembly

An inkjet printhead assembly is adapted to couple to cabling which is coupled to an electronic controller in an inkjet printing system. The inkjet printhead assembly includes low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) receivers adapted to couple to the cabling, to receive first signals having LDVS levels and to convert the first signals to second signals having second signaling levels.

An inkjet printing system includes an electronic controller including electronics providing first signals having first signaling levels, and low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) drivers which receive the first signals and convert the first signals to second signals having LVDS levels. Cabling is coupled to the LVDS drivers and carries the second signals to an inkjet printhead assembly. The inkjet printhead assembly includes LVDS receivers coupled to the cabling and receiving the second signals and converting the second signals to third signals having third signaling levels.
