A method for ensuring that a memory array such as a ferroelectric memory array is properly electrically connected. The method may be performed, for example, prior to a read or write cycle, during functional testing of the memory array, etc. In one implementation, the memory array is read and the data set including a data bit from each cell is stored in a register. A solid logic 0's pattern is written into the memory array, and each cell is read. If no cell returns a logic 1, it is determined that the memory array is properly connected and the register data values are written to the memory array. If one or more cells returns a logic 1, it is determined that the memory array is improperly connected, the register data values are written to the memory array, and the memory array is removed and reinstalled.

Pad detection through pattern analysis

The disclosure provides a flexible electrophotographic imaging member comprising a single novel polymer binder in the formulation of the imaging layers. In particular, the present embodiments provide multi-layered electrophotographic imaging members prepared by using the same polymer binder in the two contiguous imaging formation layers to improve mechanical and photoelectrical performance. The embodiments also include a process for making and using the imaging member.

Polymer for charge generation layer and charge transport layer formulation

The presently disclosed embodiments are directed to flexible imaging members used in electrophotographic imaging apparatuses. More particularly, the embodiments pertain to electrophotographic imaging members which have imaging layer(s) formulated to comprise of a novel polymer blended binder comprising a bisphenol type polycarbonate and an organic acid-containing copolyester doped into the polycarbonate which provides improved properties and performance to the resulting imaging member. The formulated imaging layer(s) may further include a plasticizer.

Photoconductors containing photogenerating chelating components

An imaging member includes a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer. The charge transport layer includes a first surface in contact with the charge generating layer and a second surface. The charge transport layer includes a film forming polymer binder and a charge transport component dispersed therein. The concentration of the charge transport component in the charge transport layer is at a peak in a region of the charge transport intermediate the first and second surfaces of the charge transport layer.

Imaging member

A photoconductor containing a supporting substrate, a photogenerating layer; and at least one charge transport layer where the photogenerating layer contains a photogenerating pigment and a chelating additive or agent.

Photoconductors containing chelating components

A photoconductor containing a substrate; an undercoat layer thereover wherein the undercoat layer includes an electroconducting component dispersed in a rapid curing polymer matrix; a photogenerating layer, and at least one charge transport layer.

Hole blocking layer containing photoconductors

An imaging member comprising a barrier or under-layer intermediate a photogenerating layer and charge transport layer to reduce charge deficiency spots. The barrier under-layer comprises a film forming polymer binder selected from a conductive polymer binder, a non-conductive polymer binder, or mixtures thereof. Optionally, the barrier layer can include a small amount of a charge transport material.

An imaging member includes a conductive substrate, a charge generating layer, a charge transport layer, and an intermediate layer between the charge generating layer and the charge transport layer, the intermediate layer including a hole transport material, such as three different hole transfer materials, dispersed in a film forming binder, such as two different binder materials.

Photoreceptor with three-layer photoconductive layer

A charge transport layer for an imaging member comprising a charge transport material with a nitrogen molecular defense system not exhibiting early onset of charge transport layer fatigue cracking. The nitrogen molecular defense system includes attaching bulky organic groups to charge transport materials. The bulky groups aid in preventing recrystallization of the charge transport molecule and shield the nitrogen from molecular attack, such as by oxidation. The charge transport layer exhibits excellent wear resistance, excellent electrical performance, and outstanding print quality.
