The present invention refers to an electric terminal assembly of a drive unit for use in a mining machine. The electric terminal assembly comprises a junction box configured to be mounted to the drive unit and a connecting element for communicatively connecting the junction box to a control device of the drive unit. The electric terminal assembly is configured to be convertibly arranged into at least two different configurations, each of which is associated to a different structural arrangement of the drive unit.

The present disclosure generally refers to a transmission comprising a transmission housing and at least one transmission stage arranged in the transmission housing. The transmission stage may include, coaxially with respect to an axis, a sun gear, a planet carrier with at least two planet gears rotatably mounted on the planet carrier; and an internal gear as transmission parts. The drive connection may also have a drive shaft disposed within the housing and configured to transmit torque from the main driving unit to the main gear unit. In addition, the drive connection may have a chain tensioning apparatus disposed within the housing. The chain tensioning apparatus may have a worm drive interacting with the drive shaft. The chain tensioning apparatus may be configured to drive the drive shaft for tensioning the chain of the conveyor when the main driving unit is in a non-operative state.
