A steering gear for a steering system of a motor vehicle includes a housing, toothed wheel, pinion shaft, floating bearing, and fixed bearing. The shaft includes a first portion, a second portion, and a pinion therebetween meshed with the wheel. The fixed bearing includes a bearing sleeve, an outer bearing ring a rotary bearing received in the sleeve, and a pivoting ring with inner and outer rings pivotably connected via at least one torsion bar. The inner ring is built into or connected to the sleeve, and the outer ring is fixed in the housing. The first portion is received in the rotary bearing. The floating bearing includes a further rotary bearing radially moveably mounted in the housing, and having a further outer bearing ring connected to one or more of the sleeve and the outer bearing ring via a connecting element. The second portion is received in the further rotary bearing.

Steering gear and steering system

A steering gear mechanism is disclosed for a steering system of a motor vehicle including at least a housing, a gear wheel, a pinion intermeshing with the gear wheel and a pinion shaft comprising the pinion. The pinion shaft is mounted on one side of the pinion in a fixed bearing, which includes a pivot bearing, in which the pinion shaft is received. The pivot bearing itself is received in a fixed bearing sleeve. The fixed bearing comprises a pivot ring, which has an outer ring and an inner ring, which are connected to each other by way of one or more torsion webs in such a manner that pivoting about a pivot axis defined by the one or more torsion webs is enabled, the inner ring being received in the fixed bearing sleeve and the outer ring being mounted within the housing.

Steering gear mechanism and steering system for a motor vehicle

A fixed bearing for a steering gear includes a bearing sleeve, and ball bearing having an inner bearing shell and outer bearing shell. The inner shell is configured to hold a pinion shaft of the steering gear. The outer shell is held in the sleeve. Each shell respectively has at least one guide groove to hold and guide bearing balls, and a pivot ring with an outer ring and inner ring pivotably connected via at least one torsion web. The inner ring is connected to the sleeve. The outer ring is configured to mount the fixed bearing in a steering gear housing. At least one shell is formed from partial shells, each partial shell defining at least a portion of the respective guide groove. The multi-part design enables relatively large guide groove shoulders and a correspondingly relatively high ball bearing load-bearing capacity even under a relatively high tilting load during steering gear operation.

Fixed bearing and steering gear

A floating bearing for a steering gear of a motor vehicle includes a rotary bearing having an inner bearing ring for receiving a screw pinion shaft of the steering gear, and an outer bearing ring built into a bearing sleeve. The bearing sleeve interacts with a guiding element, which interacts with a holding element, such that the bearing sleeve moves relative to the holding element in a first direction oriented radially to the longitudinal axis of the bearing sleeve when the screw pinion shaft is not loaded with torque, and relative movement is prevented when the screw pinion shaft is loaded with torque by moving the bearing sleeve in relation to the holding element in a second direction that is oriented radially to the longitudinal axis and perpendicularly to the first direction, whereby the guiding element is tilted in a guiding opening of the holding element or the bearing sleeve.

A steering system for a vehicle includes a pinion shaft which is mounted rotatably in a locating bearing and in a floating bearing, wherein both the locating bearing and the floating bearing are received in the steering housing.

Steering systems for a vehicle

A steering gear for a steering system of a motor vehicle includes a casing, a toothed gear, a pinion that meshes with the toothed gear, and a pinion shaft that comprises the pinion. The pinion shaft is mounted in a fixed bearing which comprises a rotary bearing in which the pinion shaft is received and which is received in a plastic bearing sleeve. The fixed bearing includes a pivot ring, which has outer and inner rings that are pivotably connected via one or more torsion webs. The torsion webs each extend through an opening in the bearing sleeve. The opening is defined by delimiting surfaces in which at least one of those delimiting surfaces is configured to prevent mechanical overloading of the plastic in the region of said delimiting surfaces as a result of contact with the torsion webs that are functionally deformed during the operation of the steering gear.

Steering gear and method for producing the steering gear

A steering gear for a steering system of a motor vehicle includes a housing, a gearwheel, a pinion meshing with the gearwheel, and a pinion shaft with the pinion. The pinion shaft is mounted on one side of the pinion in a floating bearing that includes a rotary bearing that receives the pinion shaft. The rotary bearing is connected to a stop element, which is simultaneously arranged displaceably and non-rotatably within a receiving space. The pivoting mobility of the pinion shaft guided by a fixed bearing, on the other side of the pinion, is limited by a stop between the stop element and a wall of the receiving space. The stop element and the receiving space are configured such that, only in the event of such a stop, pivoting mobility of the pinion shaft is blocked about an axis oriented perpendicular to the pivot axis.

A method and a system for producing a plastic housing are presented. In a first step, a base body and at least one closure element are produced, and in a second step an elastomer layer is applied by way of at least one gate point using a gating process, the layer joining the base body and the at least one closure element to each other.

A fixed bearing for a steering gear having a rotary bearing which comprises an inner bearing shell which is provided for receiving a pinion shaft of the steering gear, and an outer bearing shell which is accommodated in a bearing bushing, and having a pivoting ring which has an outer ring and an inner ring which are pivotably connected via one or more torsion webs, wherein the outer ring is provided for supporting the fixed bearing in a housing of the steering gear, wherein the inner ring of the pivoting ring is mounted and axially secured on the outside of the bearing bushing.

A floating bearing for a steering gear, having an inner ring for receiving a pinion shaft of the steering gear and having an outer ring which surrounds the inner ring and which serves for the mounting of the floating bearing in a housing of the steering gear, wherein the outer ring and the inner ring form an annular gap between them and wherein the outer ring and the inner ring are connected to one another by means of at least one flexible connecting part such that said outer ring and inner ring are movable relative to one another in at least one radial direction, is characterized in that the outer ring and/or the inner ring form, within the connecting part, at least one projection which projects into the annular gap such that the spacing between the outer ring and inner ring is smaller in the region of the projection than in the remaining section of the annular gap.

Floating bearing for a steering gear

A steering gear having a gearwheel, having a pinion which meshes with said gearwheel and having a pinion shaft which comprises the pinion and winch is mounted so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pinion shaft wherein the radial spacing between the pivot axis and the location of toothed engagement between the gearwheel and pinion is smaller than the core radius of the pinion.

A helical gear mechanism for a steering system in a motor vehicle comprises a helical pinion which engages with a helical gear and a bearing bushing which accommodates a bearing of the helical pinion. An inner ring of the bearing bushing is connected to an outer ring via a pivot bearing so that a pivoting motion of the helical pinion relative to the helical gear is possible. A pressure piece is disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring of the bearing bushing. The pressure piece is movable in a spring-loaded manner in a section of an annular gap between the inner ring and the outer ring. The inner ring and/or the outer ring are designed in the section so that the annular gap between the inner ring and the outer ring is tapered in the direction in which the pressure piece can be moved in a spring-loaded manner.

Helical gear mechanism for a steering system of a motor vehicle

A steering gear comprises a shaft bearing configuration which comprises a mounting which is installed in a housing section of the steering gear and has openings that enable a pivoting movement by an annular section of the mounting which is assembled with a first rolling bearing, and the mounting comprises a disk-shaped section, which is provided with the openings and relative to which the annular section can be pivoted, wherein the annular section is either assembled with the outer ring of the first rolling bearing and the disk-shaped section is attached to the housing section, or the annular section is assembled with the inner ring of the first rolling bearing and the disk-shaped section is attached to the shaft.
