Curable compositions of this disclosure comprise a mixture of: a silanol, a free radical initiator, an iodonium salt; and optionally an alkoxysilane, and/or an MQ resin, and/or (meth)acrylate monomer(s). In another aspect, cured compositions of this disclosure comprise: a cured silicone, a free radical initiator or residue thereof, an iodonium salt or residue thereof; and optionally a poly(meth)acrylate and/or an MQ resin, which may comprise the cured silicone. In another aspect, cured compositions of this disclosure comprise: a continuous phase of cured silicone, a discontinuous phase of poly(meth)acrylate inclusions, and optionally an MQ resin, which may comprise the cured silicone. The poly(meth)acrylate inclusions may have an average diameter of less than 1.0 micrometer or smaller. The compositions may be pressure sensitive adhesives. The curable and cured compositions may be solvent-free.

Halogen-free flame retardant pressure sensitive adhesive and tape

A composition is described comprising a polymer. The polymer comprises polymerized units derived from a cleavable crosslinking monomer. The cleavable crosslinking monomer comprises at least two free-radically polymerizable groups and at least one group having the formula &#x2014;O&#x2014;C(R)(R)&#x2014;O&#x2014;, wherein Rand Rare independently hydrogen, alkyl, or aryl. The composition has a Tg no greater than 50&#xb0; C. In some embodiments, the composition has a storage modulus greater than 3&#xd7;10Pa at 25&#xb0; C. and 1 Hz and may be characterized as a non-tacky polymer. In other embodiments, the composition is a pressure sensitive adhesive. Upon cleavage of at least a portion of the polymerized monomeric units derived from the cleavable crosslinking monomer, the composition exhibits a change in at least one physical property. In another embodiment, the composition comprises a polymer and fragments. The fragments comprise the reaction product of a free-radically polymerizable group bonded to a polymer chain and a pendent hydroxyl group. The composition has a Tg no greater than 50&#xb0; C. Also described are articles, comprising the composition described herein (i.e. before and/or after cleavage); as well as methods of making the composition and methods of making articles.

The articles include a multi-layer construction with at least two layers in which at least one of the layers includes a thermally activatable composition. The thermally activatable composition includes a non-linear light to heat converter composition and a color forming compound. Upon activation with a light source an image forms.

The present disclosure provides a method of making a thin film semiconductor device such as a transistor comprising the steps of: a) providing a substrate bearing first and second conductive zones which define a channel therebetween, where the channel does not border more than 75% of the perimeter of either conductive zone; and b) depositing a discrete aliquot of a solution comprising an organic semiconductor adjacent to or on the channel, where a majority of the solution is deposited to one side of the channel and not on the channel. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the solution is deposited entirely to one side of the channel, not on the channel, and furthermore the solution is deposited in a band having a length that is less than the channel length. The present disclosure additionally provides thin film semiconductor devices such as a transistors.
