This document describes techniques, apparatuses, and systems utilizing a high-isolation transition design for differential signal ports. A differential input transition structure includes a first layer and a second layer made of a conductive metal and a substrate positioned between the first and second layers. The second layer includes a first section that electrically connects to a single-ended signal contact point and to a first contact point of a differential signal port. The first section includes a first stub based on an input impedance of the single-ended signal contact point and a second stub based on a differential input impedance associated with the differential signal port. The second layer includes a second section that electrically connects to a second contact point of the differential signal port and to the first layer through a via housed in a pad. The second section includes a third stub associated with the differential input impedance.

The techniques of this disclosure relate to determining an optical characteristic of a camera. The device includes a housing that receives a test fixture retaining a camera. The housing includes a first segment and a second segment creating a chamber surrounding the camera. The first segment is attached to the test fixture and defines a first orifice located in a side of the first segment. The first orifice directs a flow of a gas out of the chamber. The second segment defines a second orifice located in a first side of the second segment to direct the flow of the gas into the chamber. An aperture is located in a second side of the second segment and positioned opposite the test fixture to define a field of view that includes a camera target. The aperture receives a lens barrel of the camera and enables the determination of the optical characteristic.

Radome

An illustrative example detector for use on a vehicle includes a radiation emitter having a near field region that is defined at least in part by a wavelength of radiation emitted by the radiation emitter. A radiation steering device includes a plurality of reflectors, an actuator, and a controller. The reflectors are situated to reflect the radiation emitted by the radiation emitter. The reflectors are in the near field region and have at least one characteristic that limits any phase shift of the reflected radiation. The actuator is configured to adjust an orientation of the reflectors. The controller is configured to determine an orientation of the plurality of reflectors relative to the radiation emitter to steer the emitted radiation reflected from the reflectors in a determined direction. The controller is configured to control the actuator to achieve the determined orientation.

A vehicle vision system displays a vehicle pathway image that includes a reticle for visually identifying the in-path portion of the image. A reticle array is disposed between a video camera chip and a lens, and includes a conical or frustro-conical region of substantially un-attenuated light transmissivity surrounded by a region of perceptibly attenuated light transmissivity, such that in-path portions of the displayed image are substantially unchanged and out-of-path portions of the displayed image are perceptibly attenuated. The reticle array may also include a number of reduced transmissivity lines traversing its conical or frustro-conical region to produce a series of receding stadia lines in the in-path portion of the displayed image, enabling the driver to reliably discern the range of displayed objects.

A stereolithography process for developing a prototype part in which inserts of a non-photopolymer material are included within the resulting part so as to develop a functioning prototype part. In order to allow the inserts to be placed within the developing prototype part, a series of STL files are defined for forming the prototype part in individual sections. A non-photopolymer insert is manually positioned on one section of the developing part each time a section is formed. In order to align one section to a subsequent section, alignment structures are developed by the STL files. In order to prevent the STL files from developing supporting structures in the cavities intended for the inserts, a supporting structure file is defined for a parent design, and then later combined with the STL files.
