Examples are disclosed that relate to representing a digital project file. One example provides a computing device comprising a logic device and a storage device holding instructions executable to obtain a digital project file comprising a geometric representation of a real physical space, and a user-created annotation associated with a location in the representation. The instructions are further executable to display a representation of the file in a first rendering format, receive a request to display a representation of the file in a second rendering format in which one or more real surfaces of the real physical space are displayed as a virtual rendering, the one or more real surfaces not being displayed as the virtual rendering the first digital rendering format, and, in response to the request, display the representation of the file in the second format.

Examples disclosed herein relate to controlling volume on an immersive display device. One example provides a near-eye display device comprising a sensor subsystem, a logic subsystem, and a storage subsystem storing instructions executable by the logic subsystem to receive image sensor data from the sensor subsystem, present content comprising a visual component and an auditory component, while presenting the content, detect via the image sensor data that speech is likely being directed at a wearer of the near-eye display device, and in response to detecting that speech is likely being directed at the wearer, attenuate an aspect of the auditory component.

Automatic audio attenuation on immersive display devices

Methods and systems for augmenting an audio signal are provided for herein. In some embodiments, a method can be performed by a sound processing system of a computing device. In such embodiments, the sound processing system can receive a captured audio signal from a microphone coupled with the sound processing system. The sound processing system can then produce an augmented audio signal by selectively filtering the captured audio signal based on a physical location of the computing device. This resulting augmented audio signal can reflect an effect associated with the physical location of the computing device. The augmented audio signal can then be output, by the sound processing system, to a speaker coupled with the computing device to enable consumption of the augmented audio signal by a user of the computing device.
