A sheet of shingles for application to the ridge or hips of a roof. Two or more shingles are arranged in a generally straight line with the tops of adjacent shingles generally aligned with one another, with the bottoms of adjacent shingles generally aligned with one another. The second edge of a prior shingle overlaps and is above the first edge of any immediately subsequent shingle. Two or more mechanical fasteners are placed in the overlapping area of adjacent shingles to connect such shingles, leaving the corners unattached so that the upper, overlapping corners can be lifted to nail the lower, overlapped corners to the roof. Tar is placed between the overlapping and the overlapped corners in order to utilize solar energy to seal the corners of the adjacent shingles to one another after the nails have been inserted.

Sheet of shingles

A sheet of shingles for application to the ridge or hips of a roof. Adhesive is placed in the overlapping area of adjacent shingles to connect such shingles, leaving the corners unattached so that the upper, overlapping corners can be lifted to nail the lower, overlapped corners to the roof. Tar is placed between the overlapping and the overlapped corners in order to utilize solar energy to seal the corners of the adjacent shingles to one another after the nails have been inserted.

A circuit for a pulse width modulating a sensor (12) has been provided. The circuit includes a first switch (22) for alternately coupling the sensor between first and second supply voltage terminals. The circuit also includes second (24) and third (28) switches and first and second capacitors for sampling the differential voltage appearing at outputs of the sensor when the first switch is in a closed state.

Pressure sensor

Reduced transient power dissipation and reduced variation of the transient power dissipation are obtained in high frequency power amplifiers, e.g., CRT horizontal deflection amplifiers, by sampling the amplifier output at and/or during the turning-off interval (e.g., during the storage time when transient power dissipation is still low and optionally also during turn-off when transient dissipation is large) and then, after a suitable delay, feeding back a signal proportional to the sampled output to the amplifier input driver to control the magnitude of the input drive during a subsequent amplifier-on interval. The desired delay corresponds approximately to the intervening amplifier-off interval.
