Methods and systems are provided for image processing. A plurality of correlation parameters representing degrees of correlation between two or more images of a plurality of images may be produced. An optimized correlation dependency graph may be produced according to the plurality of correlation parameters. The plurality of images may then be delta encoded according to the optimized correlation dependency graph. For example, the optimized correlation dependency graph may be used for performing a correlation encoding operation. The plurality of correlation parameters may be produced, for example, in accordance with one or more correlation metrics associated with the correlation encoding operation.

Method and system for optimized delta encoding

Methods and systems are provided for image processing. A plurality of correlation parameters representing degrees of correlation between two or more images of a plurality of images may be determined. An optimized correlation dependency graph may be generated according to the plurality of correlation parameters. The plurality of images may then be delta encoded according to the optimized correlation dependency graph. For example, the optimized correlation dependency graph may be used for performing a predetermined correlation encoding operation. The plurality of correlation parameters may be determined, for example, in accordance with one or more predetermined correlation metrics associated with the predetermined correlation encoding operation.

Methods and systems are provided for batch processing. A plurality of correlation parameters representing degrees of correlation between two or more data sets in a first batch of data sets may be determined, and an optimized correlation dependency graph may be generated according to the plurality of correlation parameters. A second batch of data sets may then be encoded according to the optimized correlation dependency graph. For example, the optimized correlation dependency graph may be used for performing a predetermined correlation encoding operation. The plurality of correlation parameters may be determined, for example, in accordance with one or more predetermined correlation metrics associated with a predetermined correlation encoding operation.

A method for data communication is provided and may include storing multimedia data in a first database, the multimedia data being associated with enhanced metadata stored in the first database. The enhanced metadata may be created based on at least a user profile stored at a central management unit. Multimedia data may be selected from the first database based on at least the enhanced metadata, and the selected multimedia data may be modified to produce user-specific multimedia data. The user-specific multimedia data may be stored in a second database and may be communicated from the second database to a user terminal. An alarm to a user interface of the user terminal may be generated, if in producing the user-specific multimedia data from the profiled multimedia data, it was not possible to generate the user-specific multimedia data in conformance with the user specific hardware or network characteristics.

Method for grouping and transmitting multimedia data

A method and system are described for preparing a batch of data sets for a batch processing using a predetermined correlation encoding operation. The batch of data sets may be analyzed to determine a plurality of correlation parameters representing degrees of correlation between member data sets of said batch of data sets. The correlation parameters may be used to generate an optimized correlation dependency graph of the member sets. The optimized correlation dependency graph may be used for performing the predetermined correlation encoding operation. By optimizing the correlation dependencies between data sets for subsequent processing, e.g. data compression, of the data sets, the advantages of correlation encoding may be used, even for data sets which appear a priori to be unordered and only weakly correlated.

A method for data communication is provided and may include storing multimedia data in a first database, the multimedia data being associated with metadata. Enhanced metadata may be created based on user data of user profiles stored at a central management unit, associated to the multimedia data, and stored in the first database. Multimedia data may be selected from the first database based on the metadata, the enhanced metadata, and a user profile. The selected multimedia data may be modified to produce user-specific multimedia data which may be stored in a second database and may be communicated from the second database to a user terminal. An alarm to a user interface of the user terminal may be generated, if in producing the user-specific multimedia data from the profiled multimedia data, it was not possible to generate the user-specific multimedia data in conformance with the user specific hardware or network characteristics.

Method for the aggregation and the transmission of multimedia data

A method for the aggregation and the transmission of multimedia data is proposed, in which multimedia data () is analyzed according to its content and corresponding metadata () is generated and a user profile () is established. The user stipulates and/or modifies at least parts of the user data () of the user profile () in advance of a purchase of multimedia data from the central unit () by means of a communication device (). Multimedia data () are selected utilizing the metadata () and based upon the user profile, and content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data are produced out of the selected multimedia data by means of a repackaging module (). The content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data are stored and made available to the user via a database () of a content module () of the central unit (). Particularly, the content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data are made available to the user for various receiving devices of the user in the database () of the content module ().
