A method for attaching a flat and flexible band on at least one bone part is disclosed. The band includes two end portions. A rigid base body crossed by an opening, and a retaining part that can be inserted in the opening is employed. The retaining part is at least partially in the shape of a squeezable wedge comprising a central bore for passage of the end portions facing the flexible band, the bore having a transverse cross-section that can be deformed between a first cross-section for free passage of the end portions when the part has not been inserted in the opening and a second cross-section for locking the end portions by compression when the part is entirely or substantially entirely inserted in the opening.

Device for attaching a flat band on a bone part

A device and a system comprising such a device, for fixing a spinal vertebra to a rod. The device comprises a pedicle screw and an anchor lug for fixing the screw to the rod. The device also comprises a flexible strip for connection to the vertebra, a ring secured to the lug, and means secured to said ring, for adjustably locking the flexible strip in relation to the anchor lug.

Vertebral fixation device

An intervertebral implant comprising an intervertebral spacer and two fastener ties is disclosed. The intervertebral spacer may be formed having a body extending in a longitudinal direction. The intervertebral spacer may further include a first insertion face, a second face, and two recesses disposed at the ends of the body. The recesses may each be defined by a first extension, a second extension, and an end wall. Each of the two fastener ties may be secured to the first extension at a first end and a second end may be fastenable to the second face. The ties may pass around a spinous process in part and hold the spinous process within a recess. The first extension of the body may have a height relative to the bottom wall of the recess that is no greater than the height of the second extension.

Intervertebral implant

Intervertebral spacer to be placed between two adjacent, upper and lower cervical vertebrae, the spacer comprising a spacer body and retention member for retaining the spacer body in position against said vertebrae. The retention member includes a strap and fastener member that are removable and self-blocking, enabling the ends of the strap to be secured to the spacer body. The spacer body including: a spacer part having two opposite ends, a portion of the first end configured to be inserted between the vertebrae; and top and bottom flanges connected via their bases to the second end of the spacer part and extending on either side thereof, each flange presenting an anterior face facing towards the spacer part and configured to bear against the posterior portion of the lamina of the upper or lower vertebra, respectively.

The invention provides an intervertebral implant for the lumbo-sacral joint, the implant consisting in a spacer suitable for being placed between the fifth lumbar vertebra and the sacral vertebra articulated thereto, the body of said spacer presenting in its top face a groove extending in the midplane of the spacer and suitable for receiving the spinous process of said lumbar vertebra. A longitudinal housing oriented orthogonally to said groove is formed in the bottom face and is suitable for receiving the top portion of the sacral vertebra. The invention provides an intervertebral implant for the lumbo-sacral joint, the implant comprising a spacer suitable for being disposed between the fifth lumbar vertebra L5 and the vertebra S1 of the sacrum that is articulated to the vertebra L5. The implant comprises a flexible tie having end portions suitable for being fastened to the sacrum with the help of fasteners such as pedicular screws. The flexible tie has an intermediate portion suitable for co-operating with a connection system such as a hook provided on the spacer so that the flexible tie connects the spacer to the sacrum. The flexible tie is put under tension in such a manner as to exert a return force on the spacer towards the vertebra S1.

The invention relates to a connecting member for maintaining the spacing between at least two anchor members screwed into vertebrae. The body includes an axial slot opening out into both faces of the body; two lateral slots, each lateral slot opening out into both faces and having dimensions suitable for allowing one tie to pass freely therethrough between opposing side surfaces of the lateral slot; and two presser surfaces defined in the first face, each presser surface extending between one end of the body and the nearer lateral slot. One side surface of each lateral slot converges with the associated presser surface to define a first edge, and the other side surface of each lateral slot converges with the second face to define a second edge.
