An orthopaedic stapler () comprising orthopaedic pliers () and an orthopaedic staple () integrally formed at the distal ends of the pliers (). The orthopaedic staple () comprises a beam portion () and two insertion brackets () at the two opposite ends () of the beam portion () and substantially transverse with respect to the beam portion (). The orthopaedic pliers () comprise two lever arms () integrally connected to the orthopaedic staple () by means of connection portions () at the two opposite ends () of the beam portion (). The connection portions () are breakable along breakage sections (). The lever arms () comprise at least one first projecting element (), at least one second projecting element (), the first projecting element () on one lever arm () being directed towards the second projecting element () on the other lever arm (). The first projecting element () and the second projecting element () are provided with a reciprocal engaging mechanism ().

Orthopaedic stapler

The present invention relates to an improved orthopaedic device for athrodesis, in particular for the arthrodesis or fusion of a joint, for example an ankle joint, of the type comprising of a nail having head and tip ends opposed to each other; at least a first portion of the nail having an axis of symmetry; a single circular first transverse hole made in the first portion near the head of the nail and extended according to its own axis perpendicularly to the axis of symmetry; a slotted second transverse hole still made in the first portion of the nail and extended perpendicular to both the first axis of symmetry; and to the axis of the first transverse hole; and the slotted second transverse hole being made at a greater distance with respect to the head of the nail than the distance from the head of the first transverse hole.

Arthrodesis device

An endosseous screw assembly for an internal fixation system, comprising: a stem extending longitudinally and having at least one threaded distal portion for allowing anchoring to a bone site of a patient; a connection sleeve suitable for introduction inside a connection hole of a fixation member; and a ring nut rotatably mounted on the connection sleeve. The ring nut may be threadably mounted on the connection sleeve and may comprise a rim with teeth designed to cooperate with a step formed on the fixation member, in the vicinity of the connection hole, so as to prevent rotation of the ring nut with respect to the fixation member when the connection sleeve is introduced into the connection hole of the fixation member. The ring nut may further comprise multiple deformable interference fit components which lie along a conical portion of the connection sleeve.

Endosseous screw assembly and internal fixation system comprising said endosseous screw assembly

An endosseous screw assembly () for an internal fixation system (SC; SP), whose connection to the rest of the system is unusually easy for the surgeon, comprising: a longitudinally extending rod () equipped with at least one threaded proximal portion (); a connection sleeve (), within which a portion of the rod () is slidingly guided, said connection sleeve () being arranged to be inserted into a connection hole of an internal fixation member by snap-connecting within said connection hole up to reach a locking position; said rod () and said connection sleeve () comprising such mutual engagement means so as to form an axial constraint to the sliding of the rod () into the connection sleeve (), so as to define, when the threaded proximal portion () advances into a bone site of the patient, a dragging of the connection sleeve () into the connection hole up to reach the locking position.

Articulated device () for the wrist comprising: a proximal connector () for housing a proximal attachment system for pins; &#x2014;a distal connector () for housing a distal attachment system for pins; an articulator joint () to provide a controlled movement between the proximal connector () and the distal connector (), characterized in that said articulator joint () comprises an arched element () that is rotatably mounted on a support element () in order to enable rotation around an axis of rotation (X) corresponding to the axis of rotation by flexion and extension of the wrist, said arched element () being directly connected to the distal connector (), blocking means () to block the rotation of the arched element () and rotation-limiting means () to limit the rotation of the arched element () for a pre-established portion of a circumferential arc are both directly mounted on said support element (), and in that said support element () is mounted by means of a simple cardan joint () on the proximal connector (), said simple cardan joint () presenting a first axis of rotation (Z) that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation (X) of the arched element and a second axis of rotation (Y) that is perpendicular to the first axis of rotation (Z) and movable with respect to the axis of rotation (X) of the arched element along a circumferential arc whose center is located on the first axis of rotation (Z).

Articulated device for the wrist

Fixation device for pins to be attached to an external fixation system, comprising: a first attachment or clamp comprising a first pair of opposite jaws () for housing at least one pin, said first pair of jaws () being formed by a lower jaw element () and an upper jaw element (); a second attachment comprising a second pair of opposite jaws () that define together at least one seat for housing a rod of the external fixation system; a first clamping screw () for clamping the first pair of jaws () in order to lock in position the at least one pin, said first clamping screw () screwing along a screw axis (X); one of said jaw elements () of the first pair of jaws () having at least one appendix () on its outer edge that is shaped to interact with a corresponding recess () made on the other jaw element () of the first pair of jaws () so that the only possible sliding will be along the screw axis (X) of the first clamping screw () a second clamping screw () for clamping the second pair of jaws () onto the rod, said lower jaw element () of the first attachment having a projecting portion () with a hole () which the second clamping screw () passes through, wherein the second pair of jaws () is held in an open position by an elastic element () housed in an annular seat made around the hole () on the projecting portion (), the second clamping screw () passing through the spring ().

External fixation device

A clamp applicable to both temporary and definitive orthopaedic external fixation systems comprising a first coupling element having a pair of opposite jaws defining one or more seats to house a first component of the orthopaedic external fixation system. A second coupling element comprises a pair of opposite jaws defining one or more seats to house a second component of the orthopaedic external fixation system. An interconnection pin passes through and connects the first and second coupling elements along an axis of rotation. A fastening means is arranged to bring the clamp from a slack configuration. The first and second coupling elements are relatively rotatable along the axis of rotation to a locked configuration, and are relatively rotatable with each other. These fastening means include manually operable temporary fastening means to temporarily lock the clamp, and definitive fastening means operable with a fastening tool, to definitively lock the clamp.
