In one particular embodiment, the disclosure is directed to a distributed computer system for use in connection with telecommunications operational support. The distributed computer system includes a common integration communications element, a telecommunication related business application, an adapter module, and an integrated services module. The adaptor module is coupled to the common integration communications element, and is responsive to the telecommunications related business application. The integrated services module is also coupled to the common integration communications element.

Distributed computer system for telecommunications operational support

Securing inter-process communications includes receiving, from a device that supports a first process that is an instantiation of a first application being executed, a request to initiate inter-process communications. Securing inter-process communications also includes replying to the device with a request for information of a first digital certificate that uniquely authenticates an identity of the first process. An identity of a second process that is a distinct instantiation of the first application is authenticated using a second digital certificate distinct from the first digital certificate.

Secure inter-process communications

The disclosure is generally directed to a system and method of processing a service product order. The method includes receiving a service product package defining a service product offering from a service delivery platform. The method also includes receiving an order for the service product offering from a subscriber having a subscriber account. The method further includes associating a subscriber identity with the order and providing the subscriber identity and the order to the service delivery platform. The method also includes providing provisioning data to the service delivery platform and delivering, via the service delivery platform, a video item corresponding to the service product package. The method includes communicating a billing activation event from an order management system to a billing system, the billing system to create or modify a bill corresponding to the subscriber account and providing an order completion notification to the subscriber.

System and method of processing service product orders

Inter-process communications between a first process and a second process are secured. A first process recognizes that inter-process communications must be initiated with a second process. A first computer that supports the first process submits a request to initiate inter-process communications with a second computer that supports the second process. The second computer replies to a request to initiate inter-process communications by replying to the first computer with a request for information of a digital certificate that authenticates the first process.

The disclosure is generally directed to a system and method of managing and deploying Internet protocol television (IPTV) services. The method includes a service product offer management and deployment system. The method further includes a service product ordering subsystem to receive and process a service product order in response to service product offer. The service product order identifies a particular communication service subscriber, a service area, a service control group, a service product attribute, a facility deployment component, and a set of permitted end user device types. The method also includes a service delivery platform subsystem coupled to the service product ordering subsystem. Further, the method includes an Internet protocol television deployment subsystem coupled to the service delivery platform. The Internet protocol television deployment subsystem includes a plurality of video content packages.

System and method of service product offer management

In a particular embodiment, the disclosure is directed to a distributed communications system for use in support of telecommunication operations. The distributed computer system includes a telecommunications related application service and an integration service. The telecommunications related application service has access to a plurality of interconnection services and a plurality of different computing nodes. The integration service is coupled to the telecommunications related application services. The integration service is also coupled to a plurality of distributed resource systems. The integration service has access to at least one of the plurality of distributed resource systems in response to a communication transmitted to at least one of the plurality of interconnection services.

In a particular embodiment, the disclosure is directed to an interface for federated access to customer data. The interface includes an application service. The application service has access to customer data through an integration service object. The integration service object represents data associated with a plurality of resource systems. In another embodiment, the disclosure is directed to a distributed computer system for providing a common customer interface. The distributed computer system includes an application service, an integration service, and a plurality of distributed resource systems. The application service provides the common customer interface. The integration service is coupled to the application service and includes an object. The plurality of distributed resource systems are coupled to the integration service. The application service requests data associated with the common customer interface from the integration service. The object represents data associated with the plurality of distributed resource systems.

In a particular embodiment, the disclosure is directed to an integration service. The integration service includes an interface layer, a logic layer, an object layer, and a resource layer. The interface layer includes a plurality of communications adapters. The logic layer includes a first interface and has access to a rules engine. The object layer includes a second interface, a transformation service, and an object. The resource layer includes a plurality of resource interface modules. The resource interface modules have access to a plurality of diverse resource systems. The resource interface modules may acquire a first data from the plurality of diverse resource systems. The transformation service transforms the data into the object. The logic layer accesses the object and provides a second data through one of the plurality of interface layer communications adapters.
