The invention relates to an actuation device () for moving a movable cover of a thrust reverser. Said actuation device includes: &#x2014;an actuator including a first element (), such as a screw, and a second element (), such as a nut, that engages with the first element such that rotation of the first element causes translation of the second element; &#x2014;a locking portion () rotatable between a locked position, wherein the locking portion prevents the first element () from rotating, and an unlocked position, wherein the locking portion () allows the first element () to rotate; and &#x2014;an inhibiting part () that is translatable between a first position, wherein the inhibiting part () allows the locking portion () to rotate, and a second position, wherein the inhibiting part () prevents the locking portion () from rotating into the locked position.
