Overhead public transport installation for urban and peri-urban environment using track ropes with overhead stations, each comprising a platform situated below the level of the boarding/disembarkation platforms and consistent with the overhead clearance of the road transport system in terms of the difference in level that corresponds to the sag in the track ropes.

Urban transport installation using track ropes

An overhead installation for transporting people in an urban environment includes two carrying cables, which sag in curved manner and are spaced apart from one another, on which the rollers of the vehicle without a hanger arm run. Jacks with vertical displacement, controlled by a central unit, are placed in the connection between the rollers and the vehicle so as to reduce transmission of undesirable movements, resulting from the sag of the cables, to the car of the vehicle.

The embarkation of passengers onto a vehicle of a transport installation with an aerial cable, comprising selectively served intermediate stations, is controlled by a programming device calculating the number of passengers allowed to go into a double-entrance security door and to embark onto a vehicle stopping at the station, according to the number of passengers in the vehicle and to the number of passengers disembarking from the vehicle at this station as they have compulsorily indicated when embarking.

The towers (12, 14) of an aerial cable (16) transport installation lean towards one another to reduce their height. Guying cables (48) hold the towers (12, 14).

Large span gondola lift

The invention relates to a continuous operation gondola lift with twin parallel suspension/haulage cables, between which the gondolas hang, connected to the cables by means of detachable grips. Inside the terminals the gondolas are disconnected from the cables and travel on transfer rails at reduced speed.

The invention relates to an inclined elevator having a lift cage secured onto a carriage movable along a track in the form of a track beam mounted on supporting pylons spaced lengthwise the beam. The track beam comprises two spaced girders having each two superposed I sections. The carriage rollers run on the flanges of the I sections.
