A system, method and computer program product for estimating computer processing metrics for a target computer product or target computer process. A system is described including: a product name identifier for initiating execution of the method when a process requires a new memory page for a module and identifying a product associated with the module; a module page creator for creating a new memory page associated with the process and product; a module loader for loading the module into the new memory page as associated with the process and product; and wherein the total size of memory pages associated with a particular product can be determined.

Embodiments of the invention provide devices and systems for the transfer of information using multi-point contact on a capacitive surface. In one embodiment, the invention provides a device comprising: a first surface having a plurality of contact points arranged in a pattern and a second surface having a contact area electrically connected to the plurality of contact points, whereby the plurality of contact points on the first surface is activated by a user contacting the contact area on the second surface.

Method and system are provided for providing access to string-based message headers in network protocol messages. The method includes: converting header names into canonical form, wherein a canonical key represents at least one equivalent header name, and wherein a canonical key has a string and an integer value; providing a mapping between the header names and the canonical keys; and searching for a header name using the canonical key by sequential search using integer comparison.

An RFID system and tag, and a method for identifying objects using an RFID system are disclosed. In an embodiment, an RFID tag comprises a microchip for storing an identification sequence, a tag antenna coupled with the microchip for receiving and transmitting the RF signal; and a ferrous metal portion disposed near the IC and the tag antenna. The ferrous metal portion is sensitive to, and heats up when subjected to, magnetic induction. The heat of the ferrous metal is propagated to the RFID tag such that the tag reaches its operating temperature more quickly.

The invention provides a file management method and system for managing file retrieval and access. The method operates at the operating system level within a file system of a computer device and allows creating file move links upon detection of a file move request. The file move link associates the file source location with the file target location and is stored within a file move link table of the file system for subsequent file access request. File path to target location is automatically retrieved and file reached transparently for the user.

The radio frequency device includes an antenna adapted to operate in UHF frequency bands, an energy storage means adapted to be charged with energy captured through the antenna, an information storage means adapted to store information, and a transmission means adapted to transmit the information using the energy from the energy storage means.

Method and system to locate an object

A method and system are disclosed for allowing a device using a Web browser unable to support CSS, to request trough a network and display Web HTML pages including CSS while using all the presentation features of the included CSS that it can support through the network, said method comprising the steps of: receiving a request from the device for obtaining a Web HTML page; identifying the requesting device, aggregating all the device and network display possibility information, and suppressing the contradictory information, the network display possibilities being of the highest priority, the result forming a Request rule list; retrieving the requested Web page from a Web server; aggregating all the CSS presentation definitions of the Web page while suppressing the conflicting ones in a resulting CSS rule list; modifying the statements of the HTML page which are not related to CSS, reflecting the CSS rule list while taking into account the device and network possibilities as stated in the Request rule list; transmitting to the device the HTML page comprising the modified statements. The method is executed on a network component which may be a proxy server or a router with computing capabilities.

Method and system for improving presentation of HTML pages in web devices

A flow control mechanism for use in a high speed packet switching network where calls are multiplexed on network trunks with each connection using a reserved amount of the total bandwidth. Data terminal equipments access the network via access nodes. Each access node includes a Leaky Bucket component which maintains a refillable token pool. Each time an incoming packet is received by the leaky bucket component, the number of available tokens is compared to two predetermined threshold values. If the number of tokens is less than the low threshold, acknowledgments of received packets are stopped, inducing an interruption of packets transmitted by the emitting terminals. Interrupting packet transmission will lead to a regeneration of the number of tokens in the token pool. If the number of tokens reaches the high threshold, acknowledgments are again generated to restore packet transmissions. The first and second thresholds are greater than zero, reducing the chances that a packet will be marked as being discardable.
