The present invention relates to a polymer composition comprising: a) &#x2265;40.0 and &#x3c;95.0% by weight of one or more propylene-based polymer; b) &#x2265;5.0 and &#x3c;65.0% by weight of one or more ethylene-based polymer; and c) &#x2265;0.1 and &#x3c;10.0% by weight of one or more compatibiliser composition; with regard to the total weight of the polymer composition, wherein the propylene-based polymer a) is selected from a propylene homopolymer, a propylene random copolymer, and/or a heterophasic propylene copolymer; the ethylene-based polymer b) is selected from a low-density polyethylene, a linear low-density polyethylene, and/or a high-density polyethylene; and the compatibiliser composition c) comprises one or more polystyrene-poly(ethylene-propylene) block copolymer. Such polymer compositions have good impact strength, high melt strength, good optical properties such as transparency and gloss, and are sufficiently chemically inert. They may be used for the production of transparent containers for storing potable liquids.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising polypropylene, polyethylene and a compatibiliser, wherein said compatibiliser is a block copolymer comprising a polypropylene block and a polyester block, said polyester being a non-aromatic polyester and having an average M/E ratio of at least 10, wherein M is the number of backbone carbon atoms in the polyester not including the carbonyl carbons and E is the number of ester groups in the polyester.
