A wellhead system includes a wellhead including a position sensor disposed in an inner surface of the wellhead, and a wellhead component to be installed in the wellhead, the wellhead component including a position indicator disposed in an outer surface of the wellhead component, wherein the position sensor is configured to transmit a position signal in response to the wellhead component entering into a predetermined aligned position in the wellhead.

Wellhead systems and methods

Fracturing systems with frac valves having gates for controlling flow of fracturing fluid are provided. In one embodiment, a fracturing apparatus includes a frac valve having a housing with a cavity transverse to a bore. A gate is positioned in the cavity and is movable between open and closed positions to selectively block flow through the bore. The gate includes a seal assembly positioned to seal against a sidewall of the cavity to surround the bore and block flow through the frac valve when the gate is in the closed position. The seal assembly can be actuated between a less-energized state and a more-energized state following movement of the gate within the cavity from the open position to the closed position. Additional systems, devices, and methods for fracturing are also disclosed.

Fracturing valve systems and methods

An apparatus includes a valve having a hollow body and an inner sealing assembly positioned in the hollow body. The inner sealing assembly includes a piston and can be moved between an open position and a closed position to selectively control flow along a flow path through the valve. The flow path includes a bore of the piston that allows flow through the piston, and pressure within the valve from a fluid in the flow path within the valve biases the inner sealing assembly toward the closed position to stop flow through the valve. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Annulus safety valve system and method

A system includes a support structure that is configured to be positioned at a fixed location relative to a component of a mineral extraction system. The system also includes a drive assembly having a drive motor and a valve attachment, and the drive assembly is configured to move about the support structure and to actuate multiple valves of the component of the mineral extraction system.

A booster assembly includes a booster body configured to removably couple to an actuator body of an actuator of a gate valve, a booster stem configured to removably couple to an actuator stem of the actuator, and a booster biasing member configured to provide a supplemental force to supplement an actuating force applied by the actuator to drive a gate of the gate valve from an open position to a closed position.

A system that includes a wellhead. The wellhead defines a bore. A hanger system is positioned within the wellhead. The hanger system includes a piston angled relative to a longitudinal axis of the bore. A first spring biases the piston in a first direction. The piston contacts a slip segment to couple the slip segment to a casing string.

Hanger system

A wellhead is provided. In one embodiment, the wellhead includes a plug for sealing a side passage of the wellhead. The plug may include an outer member, an inner member extending through the outer member and coupled to the outer member with at least one degree of freedom of movement relative to the outer member, and a moveable seal disposed around the outer member. In some embodiments, the moveable seal is configured to seal against the side passage in response to being moved on the outer member by the inner member.

Methods and devices for isolating wellhead pressure

A system includes a seal assembly that includes an annular body, an interior sealing assembly coupled to an interior surface of the body, and an exterior sealing assembly coupled to an exterior surface of the body. The interior sealing assembly is actuated by a first piston and configured to form a seal between the body and a first fixed substantially tubular member disposed radially interior of the body. The exterior sealing assembly is actuated by a second piston, and configured to form a seal between the body and a second fixed substantially tubular member disposed about the seal assembly. The seal assembly is configured to be run through a blowout preventer (BOP) stack and installed between the first and second fixed substantially tubular members to seal a mineral extraction well.

An apparatus to define a shoulder within equipment includes a pin assembly and an actuator. The pin assembly includes a pin assembly housing with a passage formed therethrough, a pin movably positionable, at least partially, within the passage of the pin assembly housing, an outer stop to limit outward movement of the pin within the passage of the pin assembly housing, and an inner stop to limit inward movement of the pin within the passage of the pin assembly housing. The actuator is operably coupled to the pin assembly such that the actuator is capable of moving the pin within the pin assembly housing of the pin assembly.

Adjustable actuator

Systems and methods are provided that may include employing a lockscrew to provide radial and axial force in connecting tubular members in a mineral extraction system. The lockscrew may be angled relative to the tubular members, at an angle that is greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees. Further, the lockscrew may have an end portion which mates with a slot in a locking segment, and the lockscrew and locking segment may be moved from an unlocked to a locked position. In a locked position, the lockscrew exerts force axially downward and radially inward to push the locking segment against a tubular member, locking the member in place. The interconnection between the lockscrew and the locking segment may enable easier installation and may utilize parts which may be easier to manufacture. Furthermore, the angle of the lockscrew may provide improved support for tubular members.

An adjustable mudline suspension system, including a tubing hanger having an exterior profile, a clamp having an inner profile to mate with the exterior profile of the tubing hanger, a biasing element to bias the clamp radially inward into an engaged position where the inner and exterior profiles are mated, and a piston to bias the clamp radially outward into a disengaged position where the inner and exterior profiles are not mated when hydraulically actuated. The weight of the tubing hanger is supported by the adjustable mudline suspension system when the interior profile of the clamp mates with the exterior profile of the hanger.
