The application relates to methods based on modulating mammalian intestinal and/or pancreatic microbiota and related probiotic, prebiotic, and anti-bacterial compositions. Specifically, the application relates to the use of microbiome for prevention, treatment and diagnosis of pancreatic cancers or tumors, such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

Methods and compositions for treating and diagnosing pancreatic cancers

Disclosed are formulations for oral films and other compositions containing therapeutic agents. The therapeutic agents interfere with succinate/succinate receptor signaling. The films and compositions of the present disclosure can be used to treat periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease therapy

The present invention provides compositions including saturated calcium phosphate (sCaP) solutions, that may be prepared from mixtures of calcium deficient apatite and one or more of sodium fluoride and zinc chloride, or F or Zn ions. The solutions may be prepared from mixtures of calcium compounds and one or more of sodium or potassium phosphates, sodium or potassium fluoride and zinc salts with, for instance, either phosphoric or hydrochloric acids. Such compositions may be useful for increasing occlusion of dentin tubules, decreasing bacterial attachment to dentin tubules, decreasing bacterial growth or colonization on tooth surfaces such as enamel and dentin surfaces including on dentin tubules, increasing resistance to acid dissolution, inhibiting dental caries formation and progression and tooth decay and inhibiting development of tooth hypersensitivity.

Anti-bacterial and mineralizing calcium phosphate compositions

Provided is a method of surveillance for hazardous materials, e.g., chemical, biological and radiological agents. The method comprises assaying a sample derived from materials collected from a sample domain for the presence of a chemical, biological, or radiological agent. The sample domain comprises at least one collection point from which the materials are collected in a pre-existing operation unrelated to surveillance.
