An electrical contact element includes a common base and a plurality of spring arms extending away from the common base along a longitudinal direction. The spring arms are arranged around an opening in a circumferential direction and are spaced from one another in a contactless relaxed initial state. An end of at least two of the spring arms facing away from the common base forms an annular segment projecting in the circumferential direction on at least one side of the end. The annular segments form a support ring and mutually support each other in a fully compressed state.

A high frequency (HF) terminal for an HF connector includes an electromechanical contact section, a mechanical fastening section, an electromechanical connection section, and an HF compensation region apart from the electromechanical contact section. The HF compensation region is geometrically developed in such a way that a loss in a signal integrity of an HF plug-in connector including the HF connector with the HF terminal and an HF mating connector with an HF mating terminal in a final plugged-in position can be at least partially compensated by the HF compensation region.

A chiclet for a chiclet connector includes a conductor having a first end and a second end. A housing of the chiclet encloses and defines a housing interior. The conductor extends through the housing interior with the first and second ends of the conductor forming contacts projecting from the housing. The housing forms an electromagnetic shield electrically insulated from the conductor. A support of the chiclet corresponds in shape to the housing interior and is connected to the conductor for fixing the conductor within the housing.
