A device for transferring a liquid from a first vial to a second vial is disclosed having a dome portion configured to create an air flow when activated by compression and re-expansion, and a support body tightly supporting the dome portion to form a chamber with air therein. The support body includes first and second vial seats, and a transfer conduit. The first and second vial seats are arranged to receive the first and second vials. When the first and second vials are received in the first and second vial seats, the transfer conduit is arranged to establish a fluid connection between the first vial and the second vial. Upon activation of the dome portion, air is delivered into the first vial, thereby creating a pressure rise in the first vial which causes the liquid to transfer from the first vial to the second vial through the transfer conduit.

Device for transferring a liquid from a first vial to a second vial

A device for providing a droplet of a liquid stored in an interior of a vial is disclosed that includes a support body and a resilient dome portion mounted to the support body to form a chamber having air, with the dome portion being configured to create an air flow when activated by compression. The support body includes a vial seat, a nozzle, and air flow and transfer conduits. The support body is arranged, when the vial is received by the vial seat, such that the air flow conduit establishes an air connection between the vial interior and the chamber, the transfer conduit establishes a fluid connection between the vial and the nozzle, and, upon activation of the dome portion, the air flow delivers air into the vial that causes liquid to be transferred from the vial to the nozzle through the transfer conduit.

Droplet dispensing device and system

A container adapter for a medical delivery device is disclosed. The medical delivery device has a container seat for holding a container, a dosage chamber, a dosing mechanism and a lock mechanism adapted to prevent operation of the dosing mechanism when no container is held in the container seat and to allow operation of the dosing mechanism when the container is held in the container seat. The container adapter includes an adapter container seat arranged to hold a container, a joint structure arranged to be detachably positioned in the container seat of the medical delivery device and to connect the adapter container seat to the dosing mechanism, and an unlock member adapted to activate the lock mechanism. A delivery assembly and a method of delivering a liquid to a patient from different containers is also disclosed.

Container adapter, delivery assembly and method of delivering a liquid to a patient

A safety arrangement for being used in a medicament delivery device, comprising a container holder with a body section and a flange seat and a shell. The container holder is arranged to receive a container with a longitudinal body at one end passing over into a distal flange and at an opposite end passing over into a proximal orifice via a shoulder, such that the distal flanges of the container contacts the flange seat of the container holder. Moreover, the container holder is arranged in the shell such that the container holder is movable in a proximal direction in relation to the shell. A blocking element is arranged between the shell and the container holder. A blocking initiating structure is arranged to reposition the blocking element when the container holder is moved in the proximal direction in relation to the shell from a first position to a second position.

Safety arrangement and medical delivery device

A dosing device includes a rod element and a shell. The rod element has a stem with a longitudinal axis and a first thread arrangement. The shell has a second thread arrangement. The first thread arrangement of the rod element or the second thread arrangement of the shell includes a thread. The first thread arrangement of the rod element and the second thread arrangement of the shell engage. The rod element is movable along the longitudinal axis of its stem by rotating the shell and the rod element relative to each other causing the first thread arrangement of the rod element and the second thread arrangement of the shell to travel along each other. A dosage chamber is formed by moving the rod element along the longitudinal axis of its stem. The volume of the dosage chamber is varied by moving the rod element along the longitudinal axis of its stem. An inclination angle (&#x3b1;, &#x3b2;) of the thread varies along the thread. The dosing device according to the invention can allow for a precise and convenient dosing of a liquid out of a container. In particular, it can allow for efficiently dosing a comparably small volume out of a comparably large container.

Dosing device

A medical delivery device is disclosed that includes a rod element, a dosage member and a lock mechanism. A stem of the rod element extends into an interior of a chamber body of the dosage member and a delivery orifice of the dosage member is arranged adjacent to a proximal end of the stem of the rod element. In a dosing status, the rod element is movable relative to the delivery orifice of the dosage member, such that a dosage chamber is formed within the chamber body between the stem of the rod element and the delivery orifice, wherein the dosage chamber increases when the rod element moves away from the delivery orifice. The lock mechanism changes the medical delivery device from a lock status to the dosing status, wherein in the lock status the rod element is prevented from moving relative to the dosage member delivery orifice.

Medical delivery device

A medical delivery device is disclosed having a rod element and a dosage member. The rod element has a stem and a first thread arrangement. The dosage member includes a delivery orifice, a chamber body and a second thread arrangement. The stem of the rod element extends within the chamber body and the delivery orifice is arranged adjacent to a proximal end of the stem. The dosage chamber is formed within the chamber body between the stem and the delivery orifice such that the dosage chamber increases when the rod element moves away from the delivery orifice. In a dosing status, the first thread arrangement of the rod element engages the second thread arrangement of the dosage member such that the rod element is moveable along its longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice of the dosage member.

A medical delivery device is disclosed including a rod element, a dosage member and a lock mechanism. The rod element has a stem and the dosage member includes a delivery orifice and a chamber body. The stem of the rod element extends into the chamber body and the delivery orifice is arranged adjacent to a proximal end of the stem. In a dosing status, the rod element is movable along its longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice, wherein a dosage chamber is formed within the chamber body between the stem and the delivery orifice such that the dosage chamber increases when the rod element moves away from the delivery orifice. The lock mechanism is adapted to change the medical delivery device from a lock status to a dosing status, wherein, in the lock status moving the rod element along its longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice is prevented.

A medical delivery device is disclosed having a rod element with a stem and a first thread arrangement, a dial shell with a second thread arrangement, a delivery orifice, and a switching mechanism. In a dosing status, the rod element is movable relative to the delivery orifice by rotating the dial shell around the stem causing the first thread arrangement and the second thread arrangement to travel along each other, a dosage chamber is formed between the rod element and the delivery orifice when the rod element moves away from the delivery orifice, and the rod element is prevented from movement along a longitudinal axis when an axial force is applied. In a delivery status, the rod element is movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the delivery orifice when an axial force is applied and moving the rod element by rotating the dial shell around the stem is prevented.

An adapter includes a body piece with an open container end side and a dispenser end side opposite to the container end side, and a collar piece arranged around the body piece. The dispenser end side of the body piece has an orifice. The body piece has a longitudinal axis, a cylindrical outer surface, and a cylindrical inner surface with a container thread oriented towards the container end side. The cylindrical outer surface of the body piece is equipped with a cap thread oriented towards the dispenser end side. The cap thread is arranged to interact with an inner thread of the cap for providing a child resistant closure. A collar piece is connected to the body piece that is freely rotatable relative to the body piece around the longitudinal axis of the body piece. The adapter can be used for efficiently and safely connecting a dispenser to container.
