System for conveying and dispensing material may include a heated supply of the material, one or more heated hoses, a heated dispenser, and a pump having a heating device internal the pump. A pump for conveying liquid or liquefied material, for example chocolate, may include one or more heating devices disposed within the pump. A filter may also be provided with an optional internal heating device.

A spray nozzle assembly includes a nozzle tip and a nozzle tip adapter. The nozzle tip adapter may include a visually perceptible indicia that corresponds uniquely to an offset angle value of the nozzle tip adapter. In one embodiment, the visually perceptible indicia may comprise a unique color for each offset angle among a selectable group of nozzle tip adapters. Another feature is a locator tool that includes an adjustable holder that is fixed in position relative to a spray nozzle tip or orifice during an alignment operation, and repositioned away from the nozzle tip during a spraying operation. The adjustable holder may include a measurement member to determine one or more distances between the nozzle tip or orifice and a location on a workpiece that will be coated or sprayed.

A spray nozzle is disclosed that produces a flat spray pattern for liquid coating material, the spray pattern having a generally uniform flow distribution of quantity of coating material across the spray pattern. The spray nozzle may include a rectangular cut spray orifice to produce such a spray pattern. The spray pattern may further have distinct edges so that the pattern exhibits substantially reduced tailings of coating material outside these edges. In one embodiment, the spray pattern produces a 'rectangular' drip pattern. In another embodiment, the spray pattern may include a middle region having reduced flow of coating material as compared to side regions of the spray pattern.

A spray nozzle assembly includes a nozzle tip and a nozzle tip holder. The holder can be rotationally adjusted so as to change the spray pattern orientation for a nozzle tip that produces an asymmetrical spray pattern. The nozzle holder includes a keyway feature such as different sized holes that provide an indication to the operator of the nozzle pattern orientation. The holes may also be used in combination with a tool or key that allows the nozzle holder to be adjusted for a particular spray pattern orientation. The tool may optionally include a feature that indicates to an operator the spray pattern orientation. The nozzle holder may also include a recess for retaining the nozzle tip at an angle relative to an axis of the holder.
