A connector assembly includes a housing with a terminal cavity and a terminal lock adapted to retain an electrical terminal in the terminal cavity. A terminal position assurance is attached to the housing and engages the terminal lock. The connector assembly also includes a protector plate with a protector body having a front plate face and an opposed back plate face. Terminal openings pass through the protector body. A plurality of staged locks are attached to the protector body for relative rotational movement. The staged locks extending beyond the front plate face and also extending beyond the back plate face. The protector plate is movable relative to the housing in a mate direction from a pre-stage position to a pre-lock position. The protector plate is retained in the pre-lock position relative to the housing against further movement in the mate direction by a staged lock.

A protector plate for use with an electrical connector has a protector body. The protector body has a front plate face and an opposed back plate face. The protector plate includes one or more terminal openings that pass through the protector body. A plurality of staged locks are attached to the protector body for relative rotational movement. The staged locks extend beyond the front plate face. The staged locks also extend beyond the back plate face.

An electrical terminal assembly includes a contact member that has a contact base. Contact arms extend from the contact base in an arm direction on opposite sides of a terminal plane. A connection portion extends from the contact base and includes a connection surface. A mount hole that extends through the connection portion and the connection surface. A connector assembly includes a connector housing that defines a terminal cavity. A terminal lock is adapted to retain an electric terminal in the terminal cavity in an installed position. An electrical connector assembly includes a contact member and a spring member. A terminal position assurance lock retains the terminal position assurance in a pre-lock position relative to the housing. The catch can be moved in a forward direction relative to the lever to allow the lever to move from the closed position to the open position. The catch moves in a reverse direction relative to the lever when the lever is moved toward the pre-mate position when the catch is in the closed position.

An electrical connector includes a connector mount. The connector mount has a cavity that is configured to receive a terminal. The electrical connector includes a terminal position assurance. The terminal position assurance is supported on the connector mount for movement between a pre-lock position and a locked position. The electrical connector includes a rocker attached to the connector mount. At least a portion of the rocker is configured move relative to the connector mount from a non-biased to a biased position. The rocker is configured to prevent the terminal position assurance from moving from the pre-lock position to the locked position when the rocker is in the non-biased position.

An electrical connector includes a first housing. A second housing is moveable relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a lever mounted on the first housing for relative rotational movement. The lever may move between a pre-stage position and a final position. The lever engages the second housing to move the second housing linearly between a pre-stage position and a seated position relative to the first housing. The electrical connector includes a pre-lock that retains the lever in the pre-stage position relative to the first housing. A pre-lock release on the second housing releases the pre-lock when the second housing is in the pre-stage position relative to the first housing. Releasing the pre-lock allows movement of the lever relative to the first housing.

An electrical terminal assembly includes a contact member. The contact member includes a contact base. A plurality of contact arms extend from the contact base in an arm direction. The contact arms are arranged on opposed sides of a terminal plane. The electrical terminal assembly also includes a spring member. The spring member is supported on the contact member. The spring arms include respective spring contacts where the spring arms engage one of the contact arms. An electrical terminal housing includes a housing body. The housing body defines a terminal cavity. An insertion opening in the housing body opens into the terminal cavity.
