A device and method for waveform transmission of transaction card data to a merchant point-of-sale device are provided. The device includes a memory device for storing data, a processor, and a transmitter. The device is programmed to receive transaction card data that mimics data stored within a magnetic stripe associated with a transaction card, convert the transaction card data to a first data file for storage within the memory device, transmit the first data file to the transmitter, and transmit a first waveform from the transmitter to the POS device, wherein the first waveform includes changes in a magnetic field that represent the transaction card data.

Systems and methods for communicating with a magnetic reader head

A disbursement module (DM) computer device is provided for processing an electronic disbursement. The DM computer device includes a memory device and a processor. The processor is programmed to register a payor with a disbursement service provided by the DM computer device and to receive a disbursement command from the payor. The disbursement command instructs a disbursement to be made to a payee and includes payee contact information, payee verification data, and a disbursement amount. The processor is further programmed to receive a disbursement request message that includes a payee identifier from the payee requesting that the disbursement be made, and to verify the payee by matching the payee identifier to the payee verification data. The processor is further programmed to electronically transfer funds from a bank account associated with the payor to a bank account associated with the payee.

Methods and systems for processing electronic disbursements

A disbursement computing device for transmitting disbursements from a payor to a payee through a payment processing network is provided. The disbursement computing device is configured to receive a disbursement message including at least one disbursement payment instruction for transferring funds from a commercial disbursement financial account of a payor to a financial account of a payee. The disbursement computing device is also configured to automatically transmit, for each disbursement payment instruction, a purchase authorization request message to an issuer bank associated with the payor, and receive a payment authorization message from the issuer bank associated with the payor that the commercial disbursement financial account has a balance that is at least equal to a disbursement amount. The disbursement computing device is further configured to initiate a transfer of funds equal to the disbursement amount from the financial account of the payor to the financial account of the payee.

Transmitting disbursements from a commercial financial account

Registration information is obtained for a plurality of businesses, including the business name and a payment card account number for a payment card account in which the given business can receive payments from customers via a special payment transaction over a payment card network. An electronic bill payment system instruction including at least an amount and a unique biller identifier is obtained. A biller directory, including the registration information and the unique biller identifiers, is accessed based on the unique biller identifiers in the instruction, to retrieve the payment card account number. A payment is initiated to the business via the special payment transaction over the payment card network, based on the retrieved payment card account number.

A method and system for issuing and activating a contactless transaction card is provided. The method uses a server system coupled to a database. The method includes providing a promotional transaction card including a proof of purchase identifier to a consumer, receiving a request message for ordering a contactless transaction card for the consumer wherein the request message includes the proof of purchase identifier and consumer registration data, validating the request message, issuing an inactive contactless transaction card to the consumer including a product identifier and an activation number, storing the product identifier and the activation number in the database, receiving the product identifier and the activation number from a client computer system, and activating the inactive contactless transaction card after the server system verifies that the received product identifier and activation number match the stored product identifier and activation number.
