A server may identify a reference set of information for a reference property evaluated with a reference risk score in accordance with a risk score rule that meets a predetermined threshold. The server may obtain an external data file from an external data source, wherein the external data file includes an external set of information for a prospective property. The server may compare the reference set of information with the external set of information to identify a common feature, condition, or attribute, and if identified, may evaluate the prospective property by determining a predicted risk score based on the external set of information in accordance with the risk score rule. If the predicted risk score is determined to meet the threshold, the server may indicate the prospective property as pre-approved.

Predictive analytics for assessing property using external data

Methods and systems for developing virtual models and assessing a condition of a feature of a modeled property within a virtual environment are described herein. A server may receive a data request from a user electronic device. The data request may comprise a property of interest located in an overall region. The server may then dynamically acquire a virtual model for rendering the property within a virtual environment at the user electronic device based on the data request. The server may then determine to assess a condition of the feature associated with the property represented in the virtual model in accordance with rules. The condition of the feature is relevant to assessing risks associated with the one or more properties. The server may subsequently obtain an assessment of the condition associated with the feature of the property based on a representation of the condition within the virtual environment.

Method and system for identifying conditions of features represented in a virtual model

The present embodiments relate to detecting instances of individuals being in peril within an independent or assisted living environment. According to certain aspects, with an individual's permission or affirmative consent, a hardware controller (such as a smart or interconnected home controller, or even a mobile device) may receive and analyze sensor data detected within the independent or assisted living environment to determine whether an individual may be in peril. In this circumstance, the hardware controller may generate a notification that indicates the situation and may communicate the notification to a proper individual, such as a family member or care giver, who may be in a position to mitigate or alleviate any risks posed by the situation. The foregoing functionality also may be used by an insurance provider to generate, update, or adjust insurance policies, premiums, rates, or discounts, and/or make recommendations to an insured individual.

Systems and methods for improved assisted or independent living environments

Systems and methods for managing the operation of devices within a home or other property based upon electrical usage data are described. With customer knowledge or consent, a home controller may retrieve and analyze electrical usage data corresponding to a device, such as by comparing it to certain threshold data. If the analysis results in a trigger condition, the controller may generate a command, and transmit the command to the device for implementation, allowing modification of device operation to address any issues indicated in the electrical usage data. The controller may notify a home owner/occupant. As a result, faulty devices may be managed prior to their faults causing damage to the device and/or the property, and/or property owners may be timely prompted to investigate, repair, and/or replace a failing device. Insurance discounts may be provided based upon the risk mitigation/prevention functionality.

Systems and methods for managing smart devices based upon electrical usage data

A virtual environment may be provided, the virtual environment including a procedurally generated virtual landscape. The virtual landscape may include various components, such as natural terrain elements, infrastructural elements, and residential/commercial properties, that are automatically generated based upon procedural rules so as to provide uniqueness of any one virtual landscape. A plurality of users access a collaborative virtual environment system at various times using interface devices to establish an asynchronous virtual collaboration session in which users collaborate in real-time and/or asynchronously. To enable asynchronous collaboration, data from virtual collaboration session is stored and presented to later users, including user movements and interactions with the environment, user annotation, and audio communications or comments. Other users may then access the data at a later time, and later user interactions, annotations, and audio may likewise be stored for further review by other users.

A smart or interconnected home may be populated with multiple smart or other devices that are in wired or wireless communication with a central controller. The smart devices may be covered by an insurance policy, such as a homeowners, renters, or personal articles insurance policy. The controller may receive building code compliance information associated with the smart devices, and may update an inventory list to include the building code compliance information. The controller may detect that one or more devices do not comply with building code requirements. The controller may transmit a notification to a customer about possible corrective actions to remedy non-compliant conditions and to facilitate building code compliance. The smart devices may be associated with appliances, electronics, wiring, pipes, ducts, or other equipment or personal belongings. A server may receive a data request from a user electronic device. The data request may comprise a property of interest located at a particular portion of an overall region. The server may then dynamically acquire a virtual model for rendering the property within a virtual environment at the user electronic device based on the data request. The server may then curate the virtual model in accordance with rules that emphasize features associated with the property that are relevant to assessing risks associated with the property when assessing the property. The server may then identify the curated property modeled by the virtual model, obtain annotation records associated with the features of the property, and populate an annotations overlay rendered in the virtual environment with information included in the annotation records.
