A puller device for pulling bearings, gears, wheels and pulleys from objects such as shafts and axles and other machine parts. The puller device includes a jaw support assembly; jaw members being in operable communication with the jaw support assembly; a jaw actuating assembly being supported by the jaw support assembly and including a jaw guide member being in operable communication with the jaw members; and an elongate push member being adjustable relative to and in operable communication with the jaw support assembly for urging against an object to facilitate the removal of a press fitted work piece.

Puller device

A hydraulic puller device for pulling bearings, gears, wheels and pulleys from objects such as shafts and axles and other machine parts. The hydraulic puller device includes a mobile base assembly, a jaw assembly being mounted to the base assembly and including a plurality of jaw members, a press assembly being mounted to the base assembly for urging against an object to facilitate the removal of a press fitted work piece, and a control assembly being in fluid communication with the base assembly, the jaw assembly and the ram assembly.

Hydraulic puller device

A hydraulic-operated vise device for holding and clamping objects for working on the objects. The hydraulic-operated vise device includes a base assembly including a housing sleeve and also including a first jaw member being attached to the housing sleeve; and includes an elongate housing member being movably disposed through the housing sleeve; and also includes a second jaw member being attached to the elongate housing member and being movable away from and toward the first jaw member for clamping objects between the first and second jaw members; and further includes an actuator assembly for moving the elongate housing member through the housing sleeve and for moving the second jaw member away from and toward the first jaw member.

Hydraulic-operated vise device

A convertible external/internal puller device for pulling bearings and races from within and about objects such as shafts and axles and other machine parts. The convertible external/internal puller device includes a support frame; and also includes an elongate tubular support member being disposed within the support frame and having a threaded bore extending therethrough and also being externally threaded; and further includes a jaw support member being adjustably threaded upon the elongate tubular support member; and also includes a plurality of interchangeable jaw members being pivotally attached with fasteners to the jaw support member and being guided by the support frame; and also includes an elongate press member being threaded through the elongate tubular support member and having a first end and a second end which is adapted to engage an object; and further includes a handle member being mounted to the elongate tubular support member for rotating the elongate tubular support member.

Convertible external/internal puller device

An accessory (10) for a wrench socket (12) is disclosed including a generally cylindrical magnet (32) secured to a generally cylindrical, nonmagnetic, compressible disk (26). Specifically, the magnet (32) is received in a recess (46) formed in the disk (26) and secured to the disk (26) by a layer (60) of a size larger than and extending over the face (36) of the magnet (32) and integrally secured around its entire periphery to the face (44) of the disk (26). The disk (26) snuggly fits within the well (14) and magnetically insulates the magnet (32) from the socket (12). The magnet (32) has a size smaller than the well (14) and is generally concentric within the well (14), with an air space being created between the magnet (32) and the well (14) for magnetically insulating the magnet (32) from the socket (12) in the most preferred form. The accessory (10) is removably insertable into the socket (12) of any design and model and without need for modification of the socket (12) and captures a fastener (16) slideably received in the well (14) of the socket (12) to magnetically hold the fastener (16) captive in the well (14) as the socket (12) is moved to the fastening location while not magnetizing the socket (12) or the fastener (16) sufficiently to be detrimentally magnetically attracted to metal adjacent to the fastening location. In the most preferred form, the disk (26) further includes a second portion (54) of a size smaller than the first portion (52) for receipt in a connection passage (58) located intermediate the well (14) and the handle mounting end of the socket (12) and which is especially advantageous for sockets (12) having shallow depth wells (14).

This invention relates to an internal locking puller device which comprises three pivotally mounted jaws, a cam ring which engageably slides along the jaws for camming together and apart the jaws for locking about bushings, bearings, seals, and the like, a disk-like collar to which the jaws are pivotally mounted, a T handle for adjustably controlling the movement of the cam ring, a slide rod, and a slide hammer slidably and reciprocally mounted on said slide rod for providing impacting force to remove the bushings, bearings, seals, and the like. The jaws have arcuate rearward portions with a pair of arcuate rails integrally extending from and along under edges thereof. The rails conform to the configuration of the arcurate rearward portions of the jaws so as to provide uniform locking strength across the jaws to virtually eliminate slippage of the jaws from internally about bushings, bearings, seals, and the like. The rearward portions of the jaws are precisely designed to greatly improve the leverage needed to substantially lock the jaws about the bushings, bearings, seals, and the like to prevent slippage of the jaws during the use of this device.

Internal locking puller device

The invention comprises of improvements in a locking puller device. The locking puller device has three pivotally mounted jaws and a cam ring which moves forward to pivot and lock the jaws about an object. The improvements comprise a flange-less, disk-like collar having axial slots therein to pivotally mount the jaws, a threaded sleeve which is threaded into a receiving member of the collar, and a T-handle which replaces the nut and which can be adjusted without a tool. These improvements vastly improve the strength and durability of the locking puller device and also are more user friendly. If the threads on the sleeve are damaged through use, the sleeve can be turned out of the collar and replaced with a new sleeve of various lengths, instead of having to also replace the collar which was fixed to the sleeve in the old locking puller devices.

Locking puller device

A puller is vertically movably mounted on a transport cart and includes a base assembly having at least a pair of puller jaws pivotally mounted thereto. The puller jaws are pivotally moved relative to the base assembly by means of a cam ring which is axially moved with respect to the base assembly by means of a plurality of hydraulic cylinders connected thereto. A hydraulic ram is mounted in the base assembly and has a ram point adapted to engage the end of the shaft upon which the gear is mounted.

Hydraulic puller

The hydraulically powered locking puller device comprises a base assembly about a central axis, a camming assembly circumferentially about the base assembly, and an hydraulic module axially centered within the base assembly. The base assembly has a cylindrical housing wall united to an anchor ring carrying at least two claw members and having an internally threaded cylindrical surface. The camming assembly includes a mooring ring mounted on the housing wall of the base assembly for axial movement therealong and a cam ring axially spaced from a coupler on the mooring ring. The cam ring is in camming relationship to the claw members. The hydraulic module includes a plunger with a replaceable tip, a spring retractor, a carrying ring for hoist movement of the puller, and threads for cooperative threading with the internal threads of the anchor ring to fix the hydraulic module against axial shift, but yet permit easy removal of it for servicing and replacement without disturbing any part of the relationship and elements of the base assembly and camming assembly. A shoulder within the anchor ring provides an abuttment against which the hydraulic module is lodged in assembly.

The invention comprises a grain cleaning apparatus having a frame with a plurality of augers mounted beside one another in parallel relation. Screens surround the augers except at the ends of the augers to allow grain to enter and leave at the ends of the augers. A boxlike frame encloses the rearward ends of the augers with an open top to allow grain to be cleaned to be dumped into the open rear ends of the augers. A motor is provided with drive member to rotate the augers simultaneously whereby the augers will auger the grain from the box along the augers within the screens to the forward end of the frame, a chute is provided at the forward end for the grain to leave the frame after traveling along the augers. The mesh of the screens is smaller than the grain so as to retain the grain within the screens as it travels along. The mesh allows foreign particles and chaff smaller than the size of the openings to pass through the openings and drop downward from the screens. A bin is provided beneath the screened augers to collect the smaller particles and another auger is provided in the bin to auger the particles out of the bin.

Grain cleaner

The invention comprises an improvement in a locking puller device. The locking puller has three pivotally mounted jaws and a cam ring which moves forward to pivot and lock the jaws about an object. The improvement comprises a projecting lug structure suspended only from the cam ring which projects beneath the under surfaces of the jaws to cam the jaws apart as the cam ring moves rearward with the projecting lug of the cam ring engaging the undersurfaces of the jaws. The under surfaces of the jaws follow a tapered path relative to the movement of the cam ring so as to cam the jaws apart.

The invention comprises a locking puller for pulling such objects as the inner race of a bearing, gear, or sprocket off of shafts. The puller has three jaws each pivotally mounted to a collar to enable the jaws to pivot radially toward one another to engage such objects to pull such objects off of a shaft. The apparatus has a cam ring with a triangular shape and rearwardly extending braces which are fixed to a rearward ring. The collar has a rearwardly threaded cylindrical portion with a nut threaded onto the cylindrical portion. The nut has an annular groove with the rearward ring rotatably mounted to a nut in the groove. The cam ring surrounds jaws at a location forward of the pivotal mounting of the jaw. The jaws are tapered. The tapered surfaces of the forward end of the jaws have a radius greater than that of the inner surfaces of the cam ring when an object to be pulled is engaged between the jaws, whereby an operator may rotate the nut to move the rearward ring forward thereby moving the braces and cam ring forward until the cam ring engages the outer surfaces of the jaws in a wedging manner to thereby lock the jaws to the object to be pulled. A rod is threaded into the center of the collar which is thereafter rotated to move it forward until it engages the end of the shaft and force is applied to move the rod further forward with the jaws thereby pulling the object rearward towards the end of the shaft.
