An annular barrier has a tubular part, and a downhole expandable tubular to be expanded in an annulus downhole from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter to abut against an inner face of a casing or borehole. The downhole expandable tubular has a first end section, a second end section and an intermediate section between the first end section and the second end section, the downhole expandable tubular surrounding the tubular part. Each end section of the downhole expandable tubular is connected with the tubular part and extends along a longitudinal axis, and defines an annular barrier space between the tubular part and the downhole expandable tubular. The tubular is made from one metal tubular blank of one metal material, the metal material of the end sections having a higher yield strength than the metal material of the intermediate section.

The present invention relates to an annular barrier () to be expanded in an annulus () between a well tubular structure () and an inside wall () of a bore-hole () downhole for providing zone isolation between a first zone () and a second zone () of the borehole. The annular barrier comprises a tubular metal part () for mounting as part of the well tubular structure; an expandable sleeve () surrounding the tubular metal part and having an inner face () facing the tubular metal part and an outer face () facing the inside wall of the borehole, each end () of the expandable sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part; and an annular space () between the inner face of the expandable sleeve and the tubular metal part. The annular space comprises at least one thermally decomposable compound (), which compound is thermally decomposable below a temperature of 400&#xb0; C. and is adapted to generate gas or super-critical fluid upon decomposition. Furthermore, the invention relates to a downhole system and a method of expanding an annular barrier.

The present invention relates to an annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and an inside wall of a borehole downhole for providing zone isolation between a first zone and a second zone of the borehole, the annular barrier comprising a tubular metal part for mounting as part of the well tubular structure, an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part and having an inner face facing the tubular metal part and an outer face facing the inside wall of the borehole, each end of the expandable sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part, and an annular space between the inner face of the expandable sleeve and the tubular metal part, wherein the tubular part and the inner face of the expandable sleeve substantially hermetically enclose the annular space, the annular space comprising a compound adapted to expand the annular space, and wherein the expandable sleeve comprises two first sections abutting the ends of the expandable sleeve and a second section between the first sections, the first section of the expandable sleeve has a first inner diameter in an unexpanded condition of the annular barrier, and the second section of the expandable sleeve has a second inner diameter in the unexpanded condition, which second inner diameter is larger than the first inner diameter in the unexpanded condition, or the first sections have a first thickness which is larger than a second thickness of the second section in the unexpanded condition. Furthermore, the invention relates to a downhole system and a method of expanding an annular barrier.

Annular barrier with passive pressure compensation

An annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and a wall of a borehole downhole, includes a tubular metal part for mounting as part of the well tubular structure having an outer face; an expandable sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part and having an inner face facing the tubular metal part and an outer face facing the wall of the borehole, each end of the expandable sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part; and an annular space between the inner face of the expandable sleeve and the tubular metal part, the annular space having a space pressure. The annular barrier has an anti-collapsing unit with an element movable at least between a first position and a second position, the anti-collapsing unit having first and second inlets and an outlet arranged to allow equalization.

The present invention relates to a downhole wireless transfer system () for transferring signals and/or power, comprising a production casing () arranged in a borehole (), defining an annulus () therebetween, the production casing having an inner face () and an outer face (), a downhole tool () comprising a first ultrasonic transceiver (), a second ultrasonic transceiver () connected to the outer face of the production casing, wherein the tool comprises a projectable means () configured to bring the first ultrasonic transceiver in contact with the inner face of the production casing, so that signals and/or power can be transferred through the production casing via ultrasonic waves between the first and second ultrasonic transceivers. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an annular barrier, to a downhole completion comprising a downhole expandable tubular according to the present invention, to a downhole completion comprising a well tubular structure and an annular barrier according to the present invention and to a manufacturing method for the manufacture of the downhole expandable tubular according to the present invention.
