A releasable loudspeaker grille is described that can be attached and removed from a loudspeaker without the use of tools. The grille flexes so that it can form, for example, static convex and concave states. When the grille is in the convex state, a plurality of tabs attached to the grille grasp onto or push against a contact or peripheral surface of the loudspeaker assembly to thereby affix the grille to the loudspeaker. When the grille is in the concave state, the plurality of tabs disengages from the contact surface of the loudspeaker assembly to thereby release the grille from the loudspeaker.

Loudspeaker grille

A dual tweeter speaker, wherein the tweeters are spaced far apart, is provided. The loudspeaker system includes a woofer and two tweeters, which are arranged so they reduce interference with sound waves emitted by the woofer. The spaced apart tweeters provide an improved stereo imaging range. The tweeters can also use a low cross-over frequency, so that they can provide both midrange and high frequencies.

Dual-tweeter loudspeaker

An electro-acoustic transducer for driving a large surface is used to convert electrical signals into sound. The transducer has a housing with a cast aluminum bottom and a molded plastic top. The top and bottom are fastened together by screws with a gasket in between the contacting surfaces to form a housing for a high power electromagnetic voice coil driver mechanism. The top has an opening to allow the voice coil to be centered in its gap by a centering gauge during assembly of the driver. A cap closes the opening once the voice coil is fixed in place in the housing. The op is hexagonal and flat with circular rings in the top surface to allow the top to flex in a controlled manner while supporting the bottom which remains stationary.

Electro-acoustic transducer

A folding speaker bracket comprising a first half and a second half, wherein the first half is rotably connected to the second half, so as to define an axis about which the first and second halves may rotate. By this rotable attachment of the two halves, the speaker may be folded and then inserted through a hole in a mounting surface that is smaller than it would have been if the bracket did not fold.
