A bed for a person is provided. The bed includes a frame, a deck, a mattress, a pair of head end siderails, and a pair of foot end siderails. The bed further includes a controller configured to be coupled to the head and foot end siderails.

A bed for a person is provided. The bed includes a frame, a deck including a seat section and a foot section movable relative to the seat section. The bed further including a mechanism that control movement of the foot section relative to the seat section.

A control system for controlling the movement of the ram of a press or press brake of the type having one or two main cylinders with pistons operatively attach to the ram. The control system comprises a programmable processor with inputs from a pressure transducer indicating the pressure applied to the one or two pistons and a linear potentiometer for each side of the ram to indicate ram position and levelness. The control system further includes a hydraulic circuit operated by outputs from the processor. The hydraulic circuit comprises a variable volume load sense-controlled pump supplying hydraulic fluid through a speed control assembly to a solenoid-actuated directional valve determining upward and downward movement of the ram. The speed control assembly comprises at least two lines connected to the output line of the pump and to the speed control assembly output line to the directional valve. At least one of the at least two speed control assembly lines is provided with a restricting orifice. At least one of the at least two speed control assembly lines is provided with a normally closed solenoid-actuated valve. All of the solenoid actuated valves of the hydraulic circuit are controlled by outputs from the processor.

Control system for a hydraulic press brake

A counterforce cylinder and piston exert an upward force on the vertically movable slide of a machine. The cylinder pressure line handles reverse flows during operations of the slide. A pilot-operated checkvalve (normally closed) is inserted in the cylinder line between a pressure source and the counterforce cylinder, and is held open during usual operation of the machine. An accumulator is branch-connected to the cylinder line, at a point between the checkvalve and counterforce cylinder. During machine operations, the accumulator stores pressurized fluid; at shutdown of power, the fast-acting checkvalve closes and reliably seals the cylinder line while the accumulator provides pressure to maintain the counterforce cylinder and slide in a substantially constant holding position for several days.
