A cooling and ventilation outlet is described, including a shell configured to connect to an HVAC duct and an inner body that may be securely attached within the shell such that air from the HVAC duct passes through the inner body. The inner body may include: a directable air output nozzle, a first actuator configured to control a direction of the nozzle, an adjustable damper, a second actuator configured to control airflow through the inner body by actuating the adjustable damper, an indicator that may include at least one controllable visual element, a pressure sensor configured for use in determining airflow through the inner body, and circuitry including a network interface. The circuitry is configured to accept commands over a network, to accept readings from the pressure sensor, and to control the first actuator, the second actuator, and the indicator.

An enclosure for an outdoor smart camera includes an environmentally sealed main housing with a core formed by a hollow heatsink. The heatsink runs through the interior of the housing with openings on either end of the heatsink to allow airflow. Heat emitting electronics inside the sealed main housing are mounted directly to the heatsink to conduct the heat passively through the heatsink to the external environment. The heatsink and main housing can be cut to any desired length to adjust the size of the enclosure and accommodate variable size and quantity of internal components. Mounting slots are included for mounting the enclosure easily to poles and other structures.

Systems and methods are provided for determining a use condition of an appliance, such as a sump pump, and outputting an indication of the current use condition of the appliance. A system implementing the method will first generate an actual first signature of a first characteristic associated with the appliance. The system will then generate an actual second signature of a second characteristic associated with the appliance. Each of the actual first and second signatures are then compared to corresponding expected signatures. The system then selects a current use condition from a plurality of use conditions based on the relationship between the actual signatures and the expected signatures.

A beverage container lid for a container base having a reservoir, the lid comprising a shell removably mountable on the base comprising a first drink passage that extends through the shell and communicates with ambient and a cartridge removably engageable to the shell. A second drink passage is in communication with the first drink passage and is formed between an outer surface of the cartridge and inner surface of the shell. The cartridge comprises a valve that is moveable between an open condition and closed condition to control communication between the reservoir and second drink passage.

A releasably sealable container is disclosed. The container includes a container body, a lid, a gasket and a retaining arm. The container body includes a lip defining an opening. The lid is configured to engage the opening. The lid includes a body and a frame. The gasket is configured to cooperate with the lid and the lip to seal the opening.

A food slicer having a blade is disclosed having a runway for supporting food prior to cutting by the blade and a landing for supporting the blade and the food after being cut. The runway and landing are adjustable for selecting a thickness of a food slice. The runway and landing are simultaneously adjusted, by a single mechanism, so that the blade and runway are maintained generally parallel with respect to each other. The adjusting mechanism includes a plurality of rotatable cam portions that engage with respective portions on the runway and landing so that each of the runway and landing may be oppositely pivoted around an end to maintain the parallel relationship. The food slicer also includes on-board storage for inserts, such as julienning or cubing inserts. The storage is located on a bottom of the runway, which is pivoted upward for storage.

A brush includes a handle and a head having an array of bristles and a paddle with a plurality of apertures formed therein. The paddle and bristles may be formed of silicone.

A storage rack for retaining items to be dried, which can be used in conjunction with a drain basin, such as a sink, or as a stand alone system is disclosed. The rack includes a support body having a bottom surface, a plurality of side surfaces, and a plurality of foot members extending from the body in a direction opposite the side surfaces. The rack also includes three detachable basins: two side basins and a lower drain basin. The lower basin includes a flexible spout extending beyond an edge, the spout being capable of movement between a downward position extending below the surface of the basin and an upward position extending the spout above the surface of the basin.

A food chopper includes a housing for receiving a food item, a blade assembly including a blade movable within the housing for chopping the food item, a shaft attached to the blade assembly for movement therewith, a plunger assembly coupled to the shaft for effecting, reciprocating, and rotational movement thereof, and a shock absorber disposed between the plunger assembly and the shaft. The shaft is threadedly connected to the blade assembly. The chopper may include a stripper fixed to the housing and responsive to movement of the blade assembly for removing food from the blade, and first and second guide structures respectively on the blade assembly and the stripper for guiding coupling of a blade assembly to the stripper.

A food slicer includes a frame with a food-receiving platform having an aperture therein. A reversible cutting blade has first and second cutting edges and is selectively removably mountable on the frame in first and second positions for respectively disposing the first and second cutting edges in the aperture for engagement with food being moved along the platform. Support legs are rotatably carried by the frame for movement between a stowed position disposed against the frame entirely between inner surfaces of side walls thereof and a use position extending from the frame and laterally outwardly of the inner surfaces of the side walls.
