An exemplary embodiment of the invention includes removable speaker arrangements. A speaker structure is pivotally mounted with a first base such that the speaker structure pivots around an axis of rotation, and the first base configured to slidingly receive the speaker structure. A first plurality of electronic contacts are in electronic communication with the first base. A second plurality of electronic contacts are in electronic communication with the speaker structure and are configured to maintain electronic communication with the first plurality of electronic connectors throughout the axis of rotation. In some embodiments, the first base further includes a wireless transmitter. In some embodiments, speaker arrangements further includes a second base configured to slidingly receive the speaker structure. In some embodiments, the second base includes a power supply and a wireless receiver for maintaining electronic communication with the first base.

Removable speaker arrangement

Embodiments of mounting clips are described. One such embodiment of a mounting clip for attaching an object, device, or portion of a device to a computer monitor comprises a main body. At least one hook-shaped rib is coupled to the main body. The at least one rib is removably insertable within an opening in the computer monitor. A foot, coupled to the main body, contacts an exterior surface of the computer monitor while the at least one rib is inserted within the opening. A holder receptacle is coupled to the main body and provides a mating point for coupling an object to the mounting clip.

A webcam assembly includes a webcam head and a support. The support has an arm, a base, and a tail. The arm and tail are pivotably connected to a rear end of the base. The webcam head is connected to the base and the tail through the arm. The support has a clamp form in which the tail has a pivot position away from the base and the arm has a pivot position adjacent to said base. The support also has a stand form in which the tail has a pivot position adjacent to the base and the arm has a pivot position away from the base.

An apparatus is disclosed for supporting a computer monitor of the type which has a thickness substantially less than the height and width thereof, said apparatus comprising: a base structure for resting on a support surface, said structure contacting said surface over a width and depth sufficient to provide a stable base for the computer monitor, the front of said structure extending under at least a portion of the monitor; a support member attached to the monitor for supporting the same; an elongated linkage having a rear pivot attachment to said base structure and a front pivot attachment to said support member; said rear pivot attachment permitting said linkage to pivot from a generally horizontal position to a generally vertical position; said front pivot attachment permitting the support member and monitor to pivot to assume a tilt angle within a predetermined limited vertical range during normal use and to pivot rearwardly so that said support member and monitor are generally parallel to said linkage for shipping and/or storage.

A keyboard palm rest assembly comprises a frame having an opening therethrough, the opening located corresponding to a position of a palm of a user when the user is utilizing a keyboard located adjacent the opening. The keyboard palm rest assembly also comprises a panel coupled to the frame and disposed across the opening, the panel enabling an airflow therethrough from a side opposite the user's palm to a side corresponding to the user's palm.

A clamping device for rigidly securing a web camera, or other object, to a monitor. The clamping device includes a body portion and a clamping portion. Springs are provided within the device that allow the clamping portion to be slid away from the body portion against the bias of the springs. A first flipper is mounted to one side of the body portion and a second flipper is mounted to an opposite side of the body portion. The clamping device is positioned on the top edge of the monitor so that a front support portion of the clamping portion is positioned against a front surface of the monitor above the screen and the flippers are positioned against a back panel of the monitor. The spring tension between the clamping portion and the flippers rigidly secures the clamping device to the monitor.

Embodiments of the invention provide an apparatus for supporting a computer monitor. The apparatus comprises a computer monitor base that includes a bottom portion for placement on a surface, a link coupled to the bottom portion, and a monitor support member coupled to the link. A tilt angle of the monitor support member is dependent on an adjustable height of the link.
