Techniques described herein may include new and enhanced solutions for several aspects of inter-UE communications. For example, techniques described herein may provide inter-UE coordination techniques for different types of resource sets, sensing operations for inter-UE communication, and how UEs involved in inter-UE communication may be determined. In additional, or alternative, examples, techniques described herein may provide solutions for post-collision schemes, including how certain resource sets may be applied, whether and how to jointly transmit post-collision and pre-collision indications, and how to determine the resources for post-collision indication.

Inter-UE communication coordination and collision response

A base station communicates with a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE. The base station determines a first configuration for the first UE for a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) on a symbol, schedules a data transmission for the second UE on the symbol where the CSI-RS is configured so that the CSI-RS and the data transmission collide on the symbol and determines a second configuration for the first UE when the CSI-RS and the data transmission collide on the symbol.

Pre-emption during CSI-RS mobility measurements

A cell performs simultaneous scheduling for a group of user equipment (UE). The cell associates a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) with a group of user equipment (UEs), transmits a signal to the group of UEs, the signal scrambled by the RNTI and including control information and performs an operation indicated in the control information.

The UE may determine one or more beams to perform downlink communication from the base station. The UE may perform signal quality measurements for the one or more beams using the first type of downlink reference signals. The UE may determine beam failure of at least one beam of the one or more beams based on said performing signal quality measurements.

Configured grant based uplink transmissions in wireless communication

A wireless user equipment (UE) device may transmit a random access preamble to a base station, using a physical resource on an uplink signal. After failing to receive an initial transmission of a response message from the base station (BS), the UE device may monitor for one or more retransmissions of the response message. Each of the retransmission may include a corresponding transmission number. As an alternative, each of the retransmissions may be at least partially scrambled using a corresponding Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI). As another alternative, a window for monitoring and RNTI calculation may be extended to include the one or more retransmissions. The successive retransmissions may include the same set of UE-specific payloads, or, a decreasing set of payloads over time as UE devices acknowledge successful receipt of their respective payloads.

Retransmission of MsgB in two-step random access procedure

A user equipment (UE) is provided to implement a set of transmit power control (TPC) commands during a time domain window (TDW) including multiple physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The UE can receive a configuration from the base station to configure the UE to support a power control mode and a timeline measurement related to a PUSCH transmission. Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhanced positioning techniques using configuration and capability signaling in cellular systems. A method may include reporting, to a network node, an indication of one or more user equipment (UE) capability parameters associated with a processing procedure for positioning reference signal (PRS) bandwidth aggregation. The method may include receiving, from the network node and associated with the reported one or more UE capability parameters, a configuration for the processing procedure which supports multiple positioning frequency layer (multi-PFL) processing for aggregation of PRS resources across a plurality of PFLs and further supports one or more PFL groups comprising the plurality of PFLs to be configured on one or more component carriers (CCs). Additionally, respective PRS resources in respective PFL groups may share one or more common parameters and the method may further include performing, based on the received configuration, the processing procedure.

Configuration and capability signaling for enhanced positioning techniques in cellular systems

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate transmission and reference signals (RS) associated with layer-1 (L1) operations outside of a configured carrier bandwidth (CBW) of a user equipment (UE). One example aspect is a UE with one or more processors configured to transmit UE capability information. The UE capability information includes a frequency separation threshold, where the frequency separation threshold represents a frequency separation from a CBW of the UE. The one or more processors are further configured to receive a RS within the frequency separation threshold and outside of the CBW, and subsequently perform a L1 operation based on the RS.

Layer-1 reference signaling outside of carrier bandwidths

A user equipment (UE), baseband processor or other network device (e.g., base station, next generation NodeB, etc.) can operate to process or generate measurement gap configurations associated with multiple universal subscriber identity modules (MUSIM) with dual subscriber identify modules (SIMs). A UE can perform a system information request or an SI reading with or without the SI request based on a UE configured interruption or a preconfigured measurement gap configuration to read a system information block (SIB) 1 and at least one other SIB of SI associated with the target network.

A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor that is configured to identify a plurality of flows corresponding to data to be sent in an uplink (UL) direction. The processor is also configured to map a subset of the plurality of flows to a logical channel (LCH) of a plurality of LCHs. The processor is further configured to multiplex two or more scheduling requests (SRs) into an integrated SR for requesting one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources corresponding to each flow of the subset of the plurality of flows of at least one LCH of the plurality of LCHs. Each SR included in the integrated SR corresponds to an SR for the data associated with at least one flow of the subset of the plurality of flows.

The UE comprises one or more processors configured to form a sidelink group with one or more other UEs associated with the wireless communication network. In some aspects, the one or more processors are further configured to receive a sidelink (SL) groupcast message from a select UE of the one or more other UEs of the sidelink group, the SL groupcast message comprising a SL channel state information (CSI) request and a transmission of a SL channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). In some aspects, the one or more processors are further configured to process the SL groupcast message; and selectively provide an SL CSI report derived based on a measured SL CSI, to the select UE, in response to processing the SL groupcast message.

Performing a UE-triggered lower layer-based handover may include performing measurements of source gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a source gNB. Measurements of target gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a target gNB may be performed, wherein the CSI-RS samples associated with the source gNB and the CSI-RS samples associated with the target gNB are transmitted in a burst structure. A subset of the source gNB CSI-RS samples and the target gNB CSI-RS samples may be filtered using a layer 1 or a layer 2 filter. A filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples may be generated. Based on the generated filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples, determining whether a handover from the source gNB to the target gNB is to occur.
