A technique facilitates anchoring between tubular structures in various well applications. The technique may utilize a load anchor having a radially expandable mandrel with an interior passage. Circumferential biasing members are mounted around the mandrel and each circumferential biasing member has a biasing surface. Additionally, a gripper system is positioned axially between the circumferential biasing members. The gripper system is configured such that engagement with the biasing surface of either circumferential biasing member causes radially outward biasing of the gripper system upon movement of the mandrel in either axial direction. A sealing element also may be disposed about the mandrel. The configuration of the gripper system and the circumferential biasing members protects the sealing element against undue axial movement once the load anchor is radially expanded into engagement with a surrounding surface.

Load anchor with sealing

A morphable packer and method of setting the packer to anchor one tubular within another tubular or borehole, and create a seal across an annulus in a well bore. The packer is formed as a single tubular member having a central section between end sections. Undulations are formed on the tubular member to create recesses in which annular slips having oppositely arranged inclined surfaces and an outer gripping surface are located to provide an anchoring arrangement. When morphed the slips move uniformly radially outwards and anchor to an outer tubular. Embodiments include pairs of reversed slips located in the recess, pairs of anchoring arrangements located along the tubular member and a gasket seal arranged around the tubular member.

Packer

An assembly having a sleeve member located over a tubular body, there being a chamber between the two and by increased pressure in the chamber the sleeve member is morphed to secure it to a well bore wall and create a seal between the sleeve and well bore wall to form an isolation barrier. The tubular body is formed in one or more sections so that annular planar faces are created for abutment between the sleeve member and the tubular body so as to remove the requirement for complex fittings and reduce the time of construction.

A valve assembly comprises a conduit having a throughbore and defining a longitudinal axis, a sealing member that is moveable between an open configuration in which the throughbore of the conduit is open, and a sealing configuration in which the sealing member is arranged to substantially obturate the throughbore of the conduit, wherein in the sealing configuration, the sealing member seals the throughbore along a sealing line at least a part of which is angled relative to a direction perpendicular to the axis of the throughbore.
