An automotive light includes a rear body; a front lenticular half-shell which closes the mouth of the rear body and is provided with at least one transparent/semi-transparent portion; and at least one lighting assembly which emits light upon command and is located within the rear body to backlight the transparent/semi-transparent portion of the front lenticular half-shell. The lighting assembly includes a planar OLED light source which emits light from its front face and is within the rear body with the front face facing the inner surface of the front lenticular half-shell to direct light towards the front lenticular half-shell; a concentrated LED light source behind the planar light source; and a light-guide rod of photoconductive material between the concentrated light source and the planar light source and receives light emitted by the concentrated light source and conveys the light towards the rear face of the planar light source.

A driver circuit of lighting sources for powering a plurality of lighting sources, comprising switching means () which can be operated to modify the path of the overall power supply electric current crossing said lighting sources. Said switching means can be operated to switch the path of the overall power supply electric current between at least one first path, corresponding to a first circuit configuration of the interconnections between the lighting sources, and at least one second path, corresponding to a second circuit configuration of the interconnections between the lighting sources.

LED driver circuit, method of driving and vehicle light

An automotive lamp with a lighting device is provided that includes a LED lighting circuit designed to generate a luminous flux on the basis of a driving current, a controlling electrical circuit which provides the driving current on the basis of a reference electrical quantity and of a sensed electrical quantity, and a compensating electrical circuit, which is configured so as to vary the reference electrical quantity by way of a compensation function of the luminous flux predetermined, on the basis of the temperature of the LED lighting circuit. The compensating electrical circuit includes a resistive conditioning electrical device that conditions the compensation function of the luminous flux so as to vary the reference electrical quantity in a predetermined way in response to a change in temperature.

A method for controlling a motor-vehicle lighting device is provided that uses LEDs supplied with PWM signals temporally spaced apart from one another by a first time phase tand a second time phase t. An interval of interest is defined in which an electromagnetic disturbance must not exceed a maximum threshold value &#x3b8;max; driving signals are supplied on the basis of first phases tand tcomputed; and the measured or simulated waveform of the electromagnetic disturbance deriving from the phases tand tis compared with the maximum threshold value within the interval of interest defined. Where the waveform of the disturbance exceeds the threshold, two phases tand t, once again different from one another, are recalculated; otherwise, the last phases tand tcalculated are selected and used in the PWM control. An advantageous motor-vehicle lighting device is also provided.

Method for controlling a motor vehicle lighting device that uses LEDs

A driver device of a plurality of light sources, in particular LEDs, includes a multi-channel current control module () which sets a power supply current on a respective output channel connected to at least one light source (). At least one static configuration register () is connected to said current control module in which a static driving configuration corresponding to the value of the power supply current which the multi-channel current control module must set on each output channel when the driver device is in a stand alone operating mode, is pre-loaded as well as at least one dynamic configuration register () that acts to load a dynamic driving configuration received from a digital transmission data bus connected to an electronic control unit.

Driver device for light sources

The invention relates to a driver circuit for light sources, in particular LEDs, comprising a selection circuit, comprising at least one selection circuit element defined by an electric quantity having one of a plurality of pre-established electric quantity levels, and an electronic control unit (ECU), comprising a reference circuit, suitable for providing a reference electric quantity, and a regulation circuit of the driver current, suitable for establishing a driver current of the light sources on the basis of said reference electric quantity.
