A stabilizer composition containing (I) a compound of the formula (I) and(II) a compound of the formula (II) whereinthe radicals Rindependently of one another are C-Calkyl or C-Ccycloalkyl;the radicals Xindependently of one another are hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Ccycloalkyl or a group of the formula (III-I); the radicals Xindependently of one another are hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Ccycloalkyl or a group of the formula (III-II); and Yis C-Calkylene.

Highly effective stabilizer

A stabilizer composition containing (I) a compound of the formula (I) and (II) a compound of the formula (II) wherein the radicals Rindependently of one another are C-Calkyl or C-Ccycloalkyl; the radicals Xindependently of one another are hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Ccyclo-alkyl or a group of the formula (III-I); (III-I) the radicals Xindependently of one another are hydrogen, C-Calkyl, C-Ccyclo-alkyl or a group of the formula (III-II); (III-II) and Y is C-Calkylene. 

The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of specific sterically hindered nitroxyl ethers from their corresponding sterically hindered nitroxyl radicals by reacting it with an aldehyde and a hydroperoxide. This nitroxyl ether formation may be carried out from different starting nitroxyl radicals, which are subsequently further reacted to the desired compounds. The compounds prepared by this process are effective as stabilizers for polymers against harmful effects of light, oxygen and/or heat and as flame-retardants for polymers.
