A flexible sleeve includes a first flexible sheet of a first hardness. The first flexible sheet has a first perimeter including a first lip edge and a first pocket edge. The flexible sleeve also includes a second flexible sheet of a second hardness, different than the first hardness. The second flexible sheet has a second perimeter including a second lip edge and a second pocket edge. The second pocket edge is joined to the first pocket edge, and the second lip edge is free from the first lip edge so that the first flexible sheet and the second flexible sheet collectively form a pocket having a mouth defined by the first lip edge and the second lip edge. The flexible sleeve further includes a connector joined to the mouth and configured to mate the mouth to a head of a device while the pocket substantially covers a tail of the device.

Computer mouse sleeve

A computer mouse includes a head and a tail. The head is configured to detect movement relative to a reference surface. The head is selectively switchable between an on state and an off state. The tail is connected to the head and is moveable between a curved configuration and a flat configuration. The tail is configured to switch the head to the on state when in the curved configuration and to switch the head to the off state when in the flat configuration.

Embodiments related to dual mode rotatable input devices that permit both resistive and non-resistive rotation are disclosed. One embodiment comprises a stationary hub, a rotatable member rotatable around the stationary hub, and a resistive rotation mechanism forming an interface between the stationary hub and the rotatable member. The resistive rotation mechanism comprises a resistive surface and a movable interface member configured to selectively contact the resistive surface, wherein the resistive surface and the movable interface member move relative to one another with rotation of the rotatable member. The resistive mechanism further comprises a biasing mechanism that urges the movable interface member into engagement with the resistive surface when a rotational velocity of the rotatable member is below a threshold velocity, and allows separation of the interface member and the resistive surface when the rotational velocity of the rotatable member is above the threshold velocity.

Dual-mode rotatable input device

Mechanical architecture for providing maximum viewing area on key button tops of keys for a user input device. The viewing area is for the display of information on the key buttons, and also includes tactile feedback similar to standard laptop keyboards, all using low cost manufacturing methods such as injection molding. The architecture optimizes an aperture through the core of the key switch assembly in order to project an image through the aperture and onto the display area of the key button. The architecture relocates in at least one embodiment the tactile feedback mechanism (e.g., dome assembly) out from underneath the key button to the perimeter or side of the key switch assembly. The architecture finds particular application to input devices such as keyboards, game pods, data entry device, etc., that operate in combination with an optical surface (e.g., wedge lens).
