This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for early termination of decoding attempts, including decoding attempts associated with physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates that are encoded using a rateless code. In some aspects, a transmitting device may encode a message using a rateless code associated with a cumulative encoding of various portions of the message, and using a device identifier or group identifier as an input to the encoding. Similarly, a receiving device may receive an encoded signal over candidate resources and may attempt to decode the signal in accordance with the rateless code and using a device identifier or a group identifier as an input to the decoding. As such, intended or non-intended receiving device may be able to evaluate whether to proceed with a decoding attempt or to terminate a decoding attempt at a relatively early stage.

Early termination of blind decoding with rateless coding

A network entity may transmit via a first time slot, a first set of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) and a second set of DMRSs that may be associated with a set of user equipments (UEs). The network entity may receive from the set of UEs, respective feedback messages indicating respective channel estimation information based on the first set of DMRSs and the second set of DMRSs. The network entity may generate a multi-user multi-input and multi-output (MU-MIMO) channel prediction for a second slot subsequent the first slot, based on the respective feedback messages and generate a MU-MIMO channel precoder associated with the set of UEs based on the MU-MIMO channel prediction. The network entity may transmit, during the second slot, one or more messages to the UEs based on the MU-MIMO channel prediction and the MU-MIMO channel precoder.

Multi-user channel prediction for mobility scenarios

Method and apparatus for reduced signaling overhead in PAPR reduction techniques. The apparatus receives, from a transmitter, a signal comprising a set of overhead bits associated with a PAPR reduction sequence applied to a data signal from the signal, wherein the set of overhead bits are distinct from data symbols corresponding to the data signal. The apparatus decodes the set of overhead bits to identify the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal from the signal. The apparatus removes the PAPR reduction sequence applied to the data signal. The apparatus decodes a remaining set of symbols of the data symbols from the signal, wherein the remaining set of symbols are free of the PAPR reduction sequence.

Reduced overhead selective mapping for PAPR reduction

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter device may encode information for a message using a spinal code. The transmitter device may divide the information into sets of bits each including a variable quantity k of bits, and map the sets of bits to symbols to generate a message. The transmitter device may transmit the symbols in an order based on the k values (symbols with smaller k values at the beginning of the message and larger k values at the end). Based on receiving the message, a receiver device may identify the k of each symbol and decode the symbols. The receiver device may identify a partial codeword or determine a likelihood of error associated with the message, which the receiver device may indicate via a feedback message. The transmitter device may retransmit a portion of the message based on the feedback.

Coding enhancement using spinal codes

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a network node, a supported channel latency indication that indicates a supported channel latency for time domain equalization by the UE. User equipment time domain equalization capability reporting

Ultra-wide band frequencies used for extended reality (XR) services operate as unlicensed spectrum, which can result in unexpected interference. Although some link adaptation procedures can be used, uncertain link quality can result in sub-optimal utilization of spectrum resources, which may result in poor performance of an XR service. Some aspects described herein enable use of a fixed quantity of re-transmissions of data for an XR frame, with each of the re-transmissions having different XR frame qualities or different quantities of parity bits. The XR device may transmit a feedback message indicating whether the first transmission was successful and may receive a second transmission with additional data for the XR frame. In this way, the XR device can ensure a more efficient use of network resources.

Adaptive extended reality transmissions for ultra-wide band communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a first device may combine, for each of a set of sub-blocks of a block of data, a set of unencoded bits associated with a respective sub-block with a matrix to generate a set of encoded bits. The first device may transmit a first message including the block to a second device. The second device may determine respective probabilities of successful decoding of respective selected candidate codewords for the set of sub-blocks of the block based on receiving the first message and may transmit one or more indicators associated with one or more sub-blocks based on the respective probabilities of successful decoding of the respective selected candidate codewords. The first device may transmit a second message including redundancy information for the one or more sub-blocks based on transmitting the one or more indicators.

Multiple incremental redundancy scheme using linear rateless codes

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a repeater may receive, via a first frequency band, a first one or more signals of a communication that is associated with a multiple hop link, wherein the first one or more signals are associated with a first one or more communication parameters that result in a data capacity for the first one or more signals. The repeater may perform an action to adjust the first one or more communication parameters to a second one or more communication parameters for transmission via a second frequency band, the second one or more communication parameters causing the data capacity to be maintained. The repeater may transmit, via the second frequency band, a second one or more signals of the communication using the second one or more communication parameters. Numerous other aspects are described.

Hybrid frequency repeater for a multiple hop link

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for mapping coding indices associated with a rateless coding scheme to respective sets of communication resources over which a transmitting device may perform transmissions of portions of a message corresponding to each of the coding indices. In some aspects, for example, different coding indices may correspond to different cumulative portions of the message and the transmitting device may transmit a first cumulative portion of the message corresponding to a first coding index over a first set of communication resources to which the first coding index is mapped. The transmitting device may signal an indication of such a resource mapping scheme to a receiving device and the receiving device may attempt to decode transmissions of one or more cumulative portions of the message using the indicated resource mapping scheme.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a configuration indicating a set of resources for a reference signal to track an in-phase and quadrature-phase imbalance of the UE. The set of resources may include a first subset of resources for transmitting the reference signal and a second subset of resources for a mirror image signal that is generated during upconversion of the reference signal. The UE may upconvert the reference signal to a set of subcarriers corresponding to the first subset of resources and transmit the upconverted reference signal on the first subset of resources. The base station may receive the reference signal and the mirror image signal and determine a signal adjustment for communications with the UE based on the received reference signal and the received mirror image signal.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a UE is provided. The apparatus is configured to receive one or more pilot signals superimposed on a data signal from a network entity. The apparatus is further configured to receive an indication of a first set of locations in at least one of time or frequency from the network entity. The data signal or the scrambled data signal is near orthogonal to a channel estimation filter of the transmission channel between the network entity and the UE at the first set of locations. The apparatus is further configured to transmit characteristics of the transmission channel to the network entity. The characteristics of the transmission channel is determined based at least in part on the first set of locations.

A method of wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes transmitting a wakeup message to awaken a base station from a sleep mode. The method also includes communicating with the base station after the base station awakens. A method of wireless communications by a base station includes entering a sleep mode when no user equipments (UEs) are connected to the base station. The method also includes receiving a signal from a UE to awaken from the sleep mode. The method further includes resuming signal transmissions after waking up from the sleep mode.
